Procedures for 2/13/12

Procedure for HS Chinese IV (1/13/12)—before/after school

目标 (MùBiāo): I can write a diary entry, a note for the bulletin board and a letter about many topics.

功课: 1) WB page 88.  2) Comic strip project due Tuesday, 2/21/12.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Turn in your 5 sentences and diary entry.  2) Edit diary entry (Trey) or 2) Quick review of text pages 108-109.  Go over terms ().  3) Teach new characters (參加, 最近, 時…時…, 流行, 如果, 可能, 休息, 行政大楼, 症狀, 醫務室).
  2. Listening activity: WB page 89.  Go over the answer key.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (1/13/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can name various movie/music genres.  2) I can apply what I have learned to create a skit about asking and following directions.

功课: 1) WB page 42.  2) 写新生字.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Turn in your skit hard copy w/checklist.  2) Pair work: warm up for your presentation.
  2. Teach new characters with terms (迷, 球迷, 电视/電視迷, 影迷, 迷路, 片, 影片, 动画/動畫片, 幻, 幻想, 科幻片, 无/無, 聊, 聊天).
  3. Skit presentation.




Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (1/13/12)

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions in Chinese.  2) I can sight read text passages fluently.

Homework: WB page 46.


  1. 1) Work in lab tomorrow.  Get pictures (family, pets), revised paragraphs (family, pets), and skit draft ready.  2) Lock down procedure.  3) Read text passages on pages 54-56.
  2. 1) Listening activity: WB page 44 (Section E).  Go over the answer key.  2) Share interview result (WB page 43 Section C) and round robin reading.  3) Go over text passages on pages 56.  57 & 58.
  3. Conversation question practice with new sentence patterns.





Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (1/13/12)

Objectives: 1) I can recognize and explain Chinese characters for numbers and simple pictures.  2) I can explore and create two origami products.  3) I can explore Chinese version Rock n Scissors finger guessing game.

Homework: Review Chinese characters representing numbers from zero to one hundred.  Quiz #3: Friday, 2/17/12.

  2. 1) Count from zero to one hundred.  2) Culture reading: Chinese finger guessing game.
  3. 1) (3P) Pass out and prepare colored papers.  2) Origami.  Collect for grade.
