Procedure for HS Chinese IV (2/17/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can write/comprehend a post card.  2) I can comprehend a dialogue.

功课: 1) WB pages 88.  2) Complete your comic strip.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Go over and revise diary entry.  2) Listening activity: WB page 89 Section D.  Go over the answer key.
  2. 1) Teach new characters with terms (準時/准时, 牛排, 不過/过, 點/点心, 不怎麼樣/不怎么样, 早餐 = 早飯/饭, 餐館/馆 = 飯館/饭馆, 餐廳/厅 = 飯廳/饭厅, 抵達/达, 應該/应该, 時/时差, 雖/虽然, 卻, 累, 一大早 = 很早).  2) Go over text passages on page 110.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (2/17/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can compare and contrast cultural, societal, and political differences between America and China.  2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions orally and in writing.

功课: WB pages 44 & 46.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Turn in your scenes 10-11 movie discussion questions.  2) Guided practice: WB pages 44, 46.
  2. Watch video segment: 听音乐/ 聽音樂
  3. 1) Conversation Q/A session.  2) Movie time.



Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (2/17/12)

Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my chapter test next Wednesday.  2) I can comprehend text passages.

Homework: 1) Memorize your skit and practice presenting your skit for Tuesday, 2/21/12.  2) Study for your Lesson Seven chapter test on Wednesday, 2/22/12.


  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Seven study guide, one song lyrics and one slip of Word Bank.  2) Go over study guide.  3) Writing sample practice.
  2. Go over text passages on page 61.



Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (2/17/12)

Objectives: 1) I can count/recognize numbers from zero to one hundred in Chinese characters.  2) I can say my birthday in Chinese.  3) I can explore Tangram piece game.

Homework: N/A


  1. 1) Quick review (一, 二, 三, 四, 五, 六, 七, 八, 九, 十).  2) Quiz #3.
  2. 1) Teach Chinese date format and new terms (sheng ri, nian).  2) Write sentence #5.
  3. (3P) Tangram pieces game (Part I).
