Procedures for 2/29/12

Procedure for HS Chinese IV (2/29/12)—after school

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can sight read text passages fluently.  2) I can make a story describing a picture.

功课: 10 sentences for a picture you pick from the image library.

程序 (ChéngXù):

Read text passages on pages 108-110.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (2/29/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can talk about leisure activities and my interests.  2) I can create mini dialogues for various occasions.

功课: 1) 写/寫新生字.  2) Finish up mini dialogue.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Lesson Four chapter test: Wednesday, 3/7/12.  2) Turn in your WB pages 45/49.  3) Makeup work (Colin).  4) Pair activity: create your mini dialogues.  Prepare to present tomorrow.  5) Return papers (movie discussion questions/quiz).
  2. Teach new characters with terms (吹, 民, 免, 费/費, 挺, 蛋糕, 挺, 家教, 会/會, 地点/點, 时间/時間, 民歌).




Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (2/29/12)

Objectives: 1) I can name various countries.  2) I can use question words to ask questions.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) (2P) 8 question words writing assignment.  3) Practice reading text passages on page 66-67.


  1. 1) (2P) Turn in your movie discussion questions.  (7P) Turn in your question words writing assignment.  2) Makeup work (2P: Colin; 7P: Jennifer, Alissa).  3) (7P) Return skit papers.
  2. 1) Captains check WB page 49.  2) Teach new characters with terms (澳, 利, 亞, 洲, 文, 中文, 日文, 英文, 德文, 澳洲, 亞洲, 美洲).
  3. (2P) Pair activity: create 8 questions with question words.  (7P) Practice conversation questions w/cards (birthday, age, nationality, # of people at home, pets, belongings, name—last and first name).




Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (2/29/12)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  2) I can apply what I learned to create an art project.

Homework: N/A


  1. 1) Makeup work (Quiz #4: 3P: Alonzo; 5P: Julia, Jack).  2) Return all handouts and color flash cards, please.
  2. Take turns turning in your art project.  ó Browse through Chinese cook books and literature books.
  3. PPT presentation ó oral presentation.
