Procedure for HS Chinese IV (2/15/12)—before/after school

目标 (MùBiāo): I can read and comprehend authentic text passages.

功课: 1) WB page 88. 2) Practice reading text passages on pages 108.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. Read text page 108.
  2. Go over WB page 90.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (2/15/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can ask and answer simple questions about leisure activities and my preferences.  2) I can name simple movie/music genres; I can read a TV guide.

功课: 1) Movie scenes 10-11 discussion questions due on Friday.  2) Prepare conversation questions.  Q/A on Friday, 2/17/12.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Return skit grades.  Questions after class?  2) Go over scenes 10-11 questions.  3) Review and Q/A (reading TV guide) session.
  2. Class work: Conversation questions.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (2/15/12)

Objectives: 1) I can compare and contrast Chinese and American cultural differences through watching a Chinese movie.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals and its legend.

Homework: 1) Study for your Lesson 7 chapter test: Wednesday, 2/22/12.  2) Memorize the order of 12 animals by Friday, 2/22/12.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return skit papers or check your Google Docs.  Ask questions to clarify Ms. Chang’s comments.  2) Skit presentation: Tuesday, 2/21/12.  Have Ms. Chang proofread your work before you present.  3) Go over common HW mistakes (name, # of people and # of pets).
  2. 1) Read text passages on pages 54-56.  2) Culture reading: Go over text pages 61-62.  3) DVD: Chinese zodiac animals.
  3. Movie time.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (2/15/12)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese sentences about myself and my family.  2) (5P) I can explore Chinese finger guessing game.  3) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.  4) (3P) I can make origami.

Homework: Review number table for quiz #3 on Friday, 2/17/12.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (sui, jia, you, ge ren, baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei).  2) Practice reading sentences #1-#3.  3) Counting from zero to one hundred.  Challenging questions??? 4) (3P) Finish gift box.
  2. 1) Showcase art project samples (drawings).
  3. (5P) Finger guessing game.
