Procedure for Chinese III (2/21/12)

目標: 1) I can sight read text passages fluently.  2) I can name various TV programs and movie genres.  3) I can compare and contrast Chinese and American cultural differences through watching a Chinese movie.

功課: 1) 寫/写新生字.  2) 唸课文 42-45 页.  3) Round robin reading text pages 42-45 &  Lesson Four vocabulary quiz: Friday, 2/24/12.


  1. 1) Turn in your WB pages 44/46.  Return Scenes 10-11 movie discussion questions.  2) Take one set of movie discussion questions scenes 18-28 & one copy of Lesson Four text passages slip.
  2. 1) Quick review (功夫片, 动/動作片, 动画/動畫片, 音乐/樂片, 历/歷史片, 喜剧/劇片, 科幻片, 新闻/聞, 天气预报/天氣預報, 教育节/節目, 音乐节/節目, 体育节/節目, 电视剧/電視劇, 无/無聊, 流行音乐/樂, 京剧/劇, 歌剧/劇,音乐会/音樂會,频道, 比赛/賽,周/週末,兴/興趣, 部, 场/場, 张/張, 次, 对/對).  2) Teach new characters with terms (古, 典, 古典音樂, 门/門,热门音乐/樂,票, 门/門票,电影/電影票).
  3. 1) Read text passages on pages 42-45.  2) Go over scene 12-18 discussion questions.  3) Movie time.



Procedure for MS Chinese 2P/7P (2/21/12)

Objectives: 1) I can create and present a skit with what I have learned in lessons 5, 6, and 7. 2) I can hold a simple conversation in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Study for your Lesson Seven chapter test.  2) Practice your skit, if you have not done it today.


  1. 1) Turn in your skit script and checklist.  2) Presentation.
  2. 1) Pass out/practice Lessons 7-8 Conversation handout.  2) (7P) Group activity: conversation card practice.

Procedure for MS Exploratory 3P/5P (2//12)

Objectives: 1) I can write my phone number in Chinese.  2) (5P) I can say animals in Chinese.

Homework: Practice reading sentences #1-#6.


  1. 1) Return quizzes #1-#3 and draft #1 papers.  2) Makeup work (3P: Alonzo, Andre, —ask for E/I pass to work with Ms. Chang; Jorja: quizzes #2 / #3 + draft #1; Jamie; quiz #3; Marko: gift box; 5P: Gabriella, Shaun—get E/I pass for quizzes + draft #1, Matt—quiz #3 and draft 1; Xander: quiz #3).  3) Quiz #4: Monday, 2/27/12.  Art project and oral presentation: Wednesday, 2/29/12.
  2. 1) Write sentence #6.  2) Practice saying sentences #1-#6.
  3. (5P) Pass out/go over animals.  Pick out one favorite animal.  Supplementary terms?
