Procedure for HS Chinese IV (2/23/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can sight read text passage fluently.  2) I can write a postcard.

功课: 1) 寫/写新生字.  2) Practice reading text passages on page 110.  3) Round robin reading done by Monday, 2/27/12.  4) Comic strip project due on Friday, 2/24/12.  5) Lesson Eight vocabulary quiz: Monday, 2/27/12.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. Round robin reading: text pages 108-109.
  2. Go over new terms and bottom of text page 110 (雖然, 卻, 累, 一大早, 宋城, 城市, 城中心, 悶熱, 攝氏 ó 華氏, 汗流浹背, 一整天, 好玩, 參觀, 愉快).

 

 

Procedure for HS Chinese III (2/23/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can name simple music instruments.  2) I can comprehend simple Chinese conversation.  3) I can compare and contrast Chinese and American societal and cultural differences through watching a Chinese movie.

功课: 1) 寫/写新生字.  2) Read text passages on pages 42-45.  Round robin reading: Friday, 2/24/12.  3) Conversation Q/A: Monday, 2/27/12.  5) Scenes 12-18 movie discussion questions due: Monday, 2/27/12.  6) Study for your quiz tomorrow.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Get your WB.  2) Go over WB page 52 answers.  3) Teach new characters with terms (提, 琴, 彈, 钢/鋼, 拉 ó  推, 小提琴, 中提琴, 大提琴, 風琴, 電子琴, 钢/鋼琴).  4) Go over terms (足球赛 = 足球比赛, 网球赛 = 网球比赛) on page 46.
  2. 1) Practice reading text passages on pages 42-45.  2) Conversation question practice.  3) Movie time.

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (2/23/12)

Objectives: 1) I can name various countries in Chinese.  2) I can compare and contrast Chinese and American cultures through watching a Chinese movie.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Type/Complete your movie discussion questions.  3) Reciting 12 zodiac animals by the end of Friday, 2/24/12.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Captains check Lesson Eight character worksheet.  2) Makeup work (2P: Joy/Jonah—test + worksheet; Brynne: worksheet; 7P: Jackson: test).  3) Browse through Lesson Eight.
  2. Teach new characters with terms (中, 国/國, 美, 英, 德, 中国/國, 美国/國, 英国/國, 德国/國, 国家/國, 中国人/國, 美国/國人, 英国/國人, 德国/國人, 美人).
  3. 1) (2P) Skit presentation.  2) Movie time.   3) (7P) Go over common mistakes (宠,寵, 啊,只, 金, 条, 條, 真, 很).  4) Return test papers.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (2/23/12)

Objectives: 1) I can name colors in Chinese.  2) I can fluently introduce myself in Chinese.  3) I can use a website tool to type pinyin for my PPT art project.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Practice reading sentences #1-#9.  3) (5P) Flash cards.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Pass out flash cards or make flash cards (glue sticks, colored strips).  2) Teach terms (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se, xi huan).  3) (2P) Pass out/go over sports terms.  Supplementary terms?
  2. 1) Write sentences #8-#9 (favorite sports and animals).  2) Practice reading sentences #1-9.  3) Model how to use a website tool to type pinyin for your PPT art project.
