Procedure for HS Chinese IV (2/24/12)—before school

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can sight read text passage fluently.  2) I can write a postcard.

功课: 1) 寫/写新生字.  2) Practice reading text passages on page 110.  3) Round robin reading done by Monday, 2/27/12.  4) Lesson Eight vocabulary quiz: Monday, 2/27/12.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Turn in your comic strip project.  2) Round robin reading: text pages 108-109.
  2. Go over new terms and bottom of text page 110 (雖/虽然, 卻/却, 累, 一大早, 宋城, 城市, 城中心, 悶熱/闷热, 攝/摄氏 ó 華/华氏, 汗流浹背, 一整天, 好玩, 參觀/参观, 愉快).

 

Procedure for HS Chinese III (2/24/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can name various movie genres and TV programs.  2) I can compare and contrast American and Chinese cultural and societal differences through watching a Chinese movie.

功课: Scene 12-18 movie discussion questions due Monday, 2/27/12.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Dept. chair Mrs. Barzis will visit us Monday.  2) Quick review (功夫片, 动/動作片, 动画/動畫片, 音乐/樂片, 历/歷史片, 喜剧/劇片, 科幻片, 新闻/聞, 天气预报/天氣預報, 教育节/節目, 音乐节/節目, 体育节/節目, 运动节目/運動節目, 电视剧/電視劇, 无/無聊, 流行音乐/樂, 京剧/劇, 歌剧/劇,音乐会/音樂會, 频道, 比赛/賽,周/週末,兴/興趣, 古典音樂, 热门音乐/樂, 门/門票,电影/電影票).  3) Vocabulary quiz.
  2. 1) Round robin reading text passages on pages 42-45.  2) Movie time.

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (2/24/12)

Objectives: 1) I can apply what I have learned in lessons 5, 6, & 7 to create a skit.  2) I can recite 12 Chinese zodiac animals.  3) I can sing Chinese songs.

Homework: 1) Review learned country terms.  2) (7P) Complete movie discussion questions.  Due next Monday.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (中国/國, 美国/國, 英国/國, 德国/國, 国/國家, 中国/國人, 美国/國人, 英国/國人, 德国/國人, 美人).  2) Video segments.  3) Song time (Old McDonald Has a Farm, Two Tigers, Happy Birthday to You).  4) (2P) skit presentation.  5) (7P) Go over movie discussion questions weights.
  2. Movie time ó recite 12 zodiac animal.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (2/24/12)

Objectives: 1) I can name 11 colors in Chinese.  2) I can fluently introduce myself in Chinese.  3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese food and/or Chinese school systems.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Practice reading sentences #1-#10.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (hong se, huang se, bai se, hei se).  2) Teach new terms (lan se, lu se, zong se, zi se).
  2. 1) Write sentence #10.  2) Practice sentences #1-#10.  Collect for grades.
  3. 1) Go over requirements for art project.  2) (3P) Showcase more art project samples (PPT).  3) Culture reading: (5P) Chinese Food.  (3P) Chinese School Systems.
