Procedure for HS Chinese IV (2/9/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): I can write a diary entry, a note for the bulletin board, or a letter.

功课: 1) Make 5 sentences (又…又…, < verb > 得 < adverb >, < verb> 了 < time period >, 已經/经, 聽說/听说).  2) Diary entry due next Monday/Tuesday (10 sentences).

程序 (ChéngXù):

1.   1) Turn in your 5-sentence assignment.  2) Go over text passages on pages 108-109.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (2/9/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can talk about my leisure activities and expression my opinions or preferences of leisure activities.  2) I can read a TV guide.  3) I can compare and contrast Chinese and American cultural and societal differences through viewing a Chinese movie.

功课: 1) Write new characters.  2) Scenes 7 & 8-9 discussion questions due tomorrow.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Course recommendation form??  2) Review/Teach new characters with terms (頻, 頻道, 知道, 意思, 小意思, 沒意思, 真/很有意思, 部, 场/場, 过/過, 剧/劇, 话剧/話劇, 歌剧/歌劇, 电视剧/電視劇).  3) Go over text page 47.
  2. 1) Pair work—fix mistakes.  2) Chinese chanting.  3) Song time.  4) Movie time.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (2/9/12)

Objectives: 1) I can describe animals, people or objects with adjectives.  2) I can apply what I learn from previous lessons to create a skit.  3) I can compare and contrast Chinese and American cultural differences through watching a Chinese movie.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) WB page 45.  3) Practice reading text passages on page 55.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Pair activity: Finalize your skit draft ó Ms. Chang checks your WB page 47.
  2. 1) Read text passages on page 55.  2) Movie time.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (2/9/12)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese numbers.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals, the Great Wall of China and the Summer Palace.  3) I can locate Chinese number characters on the newspaper.

Homework: Review learned terms.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Collect 12 number characters writing assignment.  2) Quick review (yi, er, san, si, wu, liu, qi, ba, jiu, shi, ling, bai).  3) Make up work (5P: Jackson, Shaun, Xander).  4) (3P) Audio file.  5) Newspaper hunting activity.
  2. Brainstorm ideas for your art project (crafts, baking, PPT).
  3. DVD: (3P) Chinese Zodiac animals.  (5P) The Great Wall of China and the Summer Palace.
