Procedure for HS Chinese III (3/2/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can talk about leisure activities and express my opinions.  2) I can compare and contrast Chinese and American societal and cultural differences through watching a Chinese movie.

功课: 1) Movie discussion questions due Wednesday, 3/7/12.  2) Study for Lesson Four chapter test: Wednesday, 3/7/12.

  1. 1) Summer Bridge program information is available already.  Let Ms. Chang knows whether you are interested.  2) Sharing interview result (WB page 50).  3) Teach new characters with terms (休, 闲/閒, 闲/閒人, 休息, 休学/學; 日常生活, 学校生活, 休闲/閒生活).
  2. 1) Class work: listening activity: WB page 53.  2) Pair activity: WB page 54.
  3. Movie time ó Turn in your WB.  Ms. Chang checks your WB page 47.

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (3/2/12)

Objectives: 1) I can comprehend Chinese dialogues through watching video segments.  2) I can utilize website tools and interactive games to help me learn Chinese.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about China.

Homework: 1) Practice reading text passages on pages 66-67.  2) Practice conversation questions.

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (3/2/12)

Objectives: 1) I can understand Ms. Chang’s classroom rules and grading policy.  2) I can complete the Student Inventory worksheet.

Homework: 1) Student Inventory.  Due next Monday.  2) Signature slip, due next Thursday.


1.   Sit on assigned seat.

2.   Get students’ team assignment information.

3.   Pass out and go over Ms. Chang’s Classroom Rules and Grading Policy.

4.   Pass out, go over and fill in the Student Inventory.  Collect, if done.
