Procedures for 3/7/12

Procedure for HS Chinese IV (3/7/12)—in class and after school

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can demonstrate that I master the objectives of being able to talk about various topics in a letter, diary, and postcard.  2) I can talk about my summer vacation when I went camping with a tent from Survival Cooking in a free-style format.

功课: 1) Lesson One vocabulary definitions.  2) Brainstorm sentences for pictures on page 1.  Write at least 5 sentences for each of the pictures by Friday, 3/9/12.  3) Practice reading first two passages on page 2.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. Student job fair – Thursday, March 9th 3:30—6:30 at CVCC for students 15 and older.
  2. 1) Turn in Lesson Eight vocabulary worksheet.  2) Take one copy of Ni Hao 4 Lesson One Vocabulary Worksheet.  3) Lesson Eight chapter test.
  3. 1) Take one copy of Lesson One Supplementary Terms handout.    2) Go over/read out loud the first 2 text passages on page 2.  3) Introduce mdbg.net website tool for stroke order.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (3/7/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 中文三: I can demonstrate that I master the objectives of being able to talk about my leisure life and preferences, and express my opinions about various leisure activities.

功课: 中文三: Lesson Six vocabulary definitions

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. Student job fair – Thursday, March 9th 3:30—6:30 at CVCC for students 15 and older.
  2. 中文三: 1) Turn in scenes 22-28 movie discussion questions and Lesson Four vocabulary worksheet.  2) Take one copy of Lesson Six vocabulary worksheet.  3) Makeup work (Claire, Michaela, Heidi).  4) Lesson Four chapter test.

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (3/7/12)

Objectives: 1) I can sight read text passages fluently.  2) I can use question word about places.  3) I can sing a Chinese song.  4) I can write, ask and answer simple questions about nationality and language proficiency.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) WB page 51.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (2P: T.J., Alex; 7P: Alissa, Jennifer, Kelley).  2) Work in media center on Thursday, 3/15/12.  3) Read text passages on pages 66-67.  4) Lesson Eight chapter test: Friday, 3/16/12.
  2. (2P) 1) Review and teach new characters with terms (会/會, 不会/會, 说/說, 里/裡, 这里/這裡, 那里/裡, 哪里/裡, 对/對, 起, 不对/對, 对/對不起, 一起, 起立).  3) Teach sentence pattern < someone > 会说/會說 < language >.   4) Conversation practice.  5) Song time “我的朋友在哪裡”.  6) Review sentence patterns.
  3. (7P) 1) Quick review.  2) Go over sentence patterns on pages 70-72.  3) Conversation practice and Q/A session.  4) Write sentences about language proficiency for PPT next week.
  4. (7P) 1) Introduce the Confucius Institute website, 2) Video http://english.chinese.cn/onlinelearning/article/2011-09/18/content_338845.htm.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (3/7/12)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can acquire cultural, geographic and historical knowledge about China.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Signature slip due tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (5P: Sean, Brenden).  2) Collect signature slip, if any.
  2. 1) Quick review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi).  2) Teach new terms (Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Lao Shi, Zhang Lao Shi, Zai Jian).
  3. Pass out/Go over the China Reading Packet.
