Procedure for HS Chinese III (3/8/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can brainstorm ideas, recruit partners, and define rubric categories for my authentic performance presentation.

功课: N/A.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Captains check Lesson Six vocabulary definitions.  2) Makeup work (Movie discussion questions: Michaela, Cait, Jay, Wyatt, Collin; Characters worksheet: Wyatt).  3) Browse through Lesson Six text pages.
  2. Pair/Group: 1) Finalize member names.  2) Brainstorm rubric categories for a performance presentation.

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (3/8/12)

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions in Chinese.  2) I can use polite expressions in interacting with people.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Practice reading text passage on page 68.


  1. 1) Captains check WB page 51.  Go over the answer key.  2) Makeup work (2P: Joy, T.J., Alex; 7P: Amari, Justin: Skit reading / Kelley, Alissa, Jennifer: movie discussion questions / Amari: WB page 49).
  2. 1) Read text passages on page 68.  2) Complete sentences for PPT (birthday, nationality, language proficiency and parents’ professions).  Collect for grades.
  3. Teach new characters with terms (2P: 点/點, 一点/點; 7P: 关/關, 系/係, 问/問, 请问/請問, 咦, 点/點, 一点/點).
  4. Conversation Q/A.


Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (3/8/12)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can acquire cultural, geographical or historical knowledge about China.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) China reading packet.  Due tomorrow.


  1. 1) Collect signature slip, if any.  One unidentified signature slip??  Question for Juliette, please.  2) Quick review (Ni Hao, Hi Shi, Wo Shi, Lao Shi, Zai Jian).  3) Teach new terms (Zao, Zao An, Ni Zao, Zao Shang Hao).
  2. 1) Culture reading: China (pages 1-2).  2) DVD: General introduction.  3) Pair activity: complete the China reading packet.  Turn in, if completed.
