Procedures for 3/13/12

Procedure for HS Chinese III (3/13/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can reference other people’s work to help me design my video presentation.  2) I can review learned materials through playing an interactive game.  3) I can use online assessment tools to evaluate my own Chinese learning.

功课: Finalize song lyrics or recipe (ingredients, procedures) by the end of this week.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Use your song title or recipe title as a keyword and search for related videos in YouTube.  Jot down ideas for your production.
  2. Log onto P drive, click Ni Hao 3 and play Lessons One, Two, Three, Four interactive games.

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (3/13/12)

Objectives: 1) I can use a new sentence pattern to express language proficiency.  2) I can name Mandarin Chinese with various terms.  3) I can polish my Chinese listening/reading proficiency through viewing video segments or practicing reading passages.

Homework: WB page 54.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (2P: Alex; 7P: Alissa).  2) Captains check WB page 53.  Go over the answer key.  3) Read text passages on pages 66-69.

Procedure for Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (3/13/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms.  2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese calligraphy.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Complete writing Chinese characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (3P: Bliss; 5P: Seth, Maisy).  2) Return your Spanish projects.  3) Quick review.  4) Teach new terms (Shang Ke, Xia Ke, Tong Xue Men Hao).
  2. 1) Teach Chinese characters (ri, yue, mu, shan).  2) DVD: calligraphy.  4) Showcase four treasures: brush pen, ink stone, ink tablet, and paper.  5) (5P) Culture reading: Chinese calligraphy.
