Procedure for HS Chinese IV (3/14/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can create/narrate a story based on pictures provided.  2) I can talk about my holiday and how I enjoyed it.

功课: 1) Fix mistakes and edit draft for final version.  2) Orally share your sentences tomorrow.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Return papers.  Go over individual mistakes.  2) Read 1st/2nd text passages on page 1.
  2. Listening comprehension review quiz.
  3. Go over text passages on page 1.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (3/14/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can prepare for my video presentation.  2) I can utilize and explore websites to sharpen my listening and reading comprehension.

功课: Have all song lyrics and cooking instructions and procedures finalized by the end of this week.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Mr. Goodman returns your movie discussion questions.  (Sorry.  I have not finished grading Claire’s and John’s papers.  Will return tomorrow.)  2) For those who plan for cooking video, please make sure you convert Chinese metric system (grams, etc) into American customary system (ounces, etc).  Google the information of conversion.  3) Write down your song title or dish name on a piece of paper and turn it in to Mr. Goodwin.

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (3/14/12)

Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my audacity recording and chapter test.  2) I can construct sentences and expand my current PPT file to introduce my family and myself.

Homework: 1) Study for your audacity recording tomorrow.  2) Study for your chapter test on Friday, 3/16/12.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (2P: Chloe, Andrew B., James, Josh—Model UN students).  2) Take one copy of Lesson Eight chapter test study guide and one word bank slip.  Bring your 5-sentence draft tomorrow.  3) Captains check WB page 54.  Go over the answer key.  4) Go over study guide.
  2. 1) Read text passages on pages 66-69.  2) Introduce a website to type Chinese characters.
  3. Practice writing samples.

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (3/14/12)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can write simple Chinese characters.  3) (5P) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese major cities.

Homework: 8 Chinese characters due tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review.  Return Spanish projects.  2) Teach new terms (Dong le ma, Dong le, Bu dong).  3) Teach new characters (Ren, Kou, Shui, Huo).  Collect, if done.
  2. (5P) DVD: Shanghai, Beijing, and Chongqing.

 

**  Fire drill at the end of 3rd period.
