Procedures for 3/20/12

Procedure for HS Chinese III (3/20/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can compare and describe people and objects with adjectives.  2) I can ask simple conversation questions.  3) I can sight read text passages fluently.

功课: 1) WB page 59.  2) Practice reading text passages on page 62.  Round robin reading: Thursday, 3/22/12.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Ms. Chang checks WB page 58.  Go over the answers.  2) Makeup work (Melissa, Ryan, Nate, Adam F., Brad, Claire).  3) Read text passages on page 62.
  2. 1) Class activity: make comparison sentences w/models.  2) Model WB page 59.  3) Review Conversation Questions answers (#1-#30).

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (3/20/12)

Objectives: 1) I can build sentences with verbs and adjectives.  2) (7P) I can sharpen my listening comprehension through listening to audio files.  3) I can understand grading rubric for my PPT project.  4) I can build a solid grammar foundation through reviewing grammar.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Practice reading your PPT.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return papers / Quick review.  2) Makeup work (2P: Jonah/James—audacity/PPT; 7P: Maddie—definitions/PPT; Kelley, Jennifer, Jackson, Noah—PPT; Alissa–definitions).  3) Finish up going over PPT rubric.  4) Building sentences with (喜欢/歡) and adjectives and nouns.
  2. 1) (2P) Pass out grammar review sheet.  (2P/7P) Pair work/independent work.  (7P) Go over the answer key.  Collect for class participation grade.  2) Practice saying your PPT.

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (3/20/12)

Objectives: 1) I can say and write numbers in Chinese.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese tea.  3) I can explore and make 2 origami products.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Complete rows of writing Chinese characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (5P: Maisy, Jose, Taylor—quiz #1).  Return papers.  2) (3P) Check paper cutting products.  Collect for grades.
  2. 1) Quick review (yi, er, san, si).  2) Teach new numbers with characters (wu, liu, qi, ba).  3) Culture reading: (5P) Chinese tea.  4) DVD: Chinese tea.  5) Show and tell: tea set.
  3. Pass out and prepare colored papers for origami products.
