Procedures for 3/21/12

Procedure for HS Chinese IV (3/21/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can talk about my holidays and how I enjoyed it.  2) I can sight read sentences fluently.

功课: 1) 写/寫新生字.  2) WB page 1.  3) Make 4 sentences (才….又…, 不只是….也是….).  Due next Monday.  4) Lesson One Quiz #1: Monday, 3/26/12.
程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Read text passages on page 2 as a class.  2) Pass out WB packet.  3) Go over terms (底下, 擦香水, 念書, 機會, 了解, 露營, 露水, 營火, 照顧) and text 4th/5th paragraphs.
  2. Go over WB page 1.

 Procedure for HS Chinese III (3/21/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can compare and describe people and objects with adjectives.  2) I can ask and answer simple questions.  3) I can sharpen my listening comprehension ability through listening to audio files.  4) I can create a story with a picture provided.

功课: 1) Write new characters.  2) Make sentences (觉/覺得, 如果, 不如).  Due tomorrow.  3) Round robbing reading: page 62, tomorrow.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. Homeroom announcements: 1) You can create a poster card with a drug fact to support the National Drug Fact Week.  Starbucks gift cards will be distributed to the most creative entrants.  Mr. Mueller will be judging.  2) You are allowed and encouraged to use your cell phones to respond to a Poll Everywhere survey question on BEE-TV during morning announcements.  3) At lunch today, Jeopardy style questions will be available in the cafeteria for students to answer for small prizes.
  2. 1) Turn in your WB.  2) Quick review (高, 矮, 长, 短, 比, 比较, 像, 好像, 挺 ó 塌, 胖 ó 瘦, 苗條, 叔叔, 那么, < adjective > 多了, 好久不见, 为什么).  3) Teach new characters with terms (奇, 怪, 觉/覺得, 倆, 肥, 奇怪, 减肥, 肥胖, 如, 如果, 不如).  4) Read text passages on pages 64-65.
  3. 1) Share conversation questions #21-#25.  2) Listening comprehension.
  4. 1) Introduce image library.  2) Class activity: Model creating sentences w/terms.

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (3/21/12)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about sports and express my preferences of sports.  2) I can ask and answer simple questions about sports.  3) I can build a solid grammar foundation through reviewing.  4) I can sharpen my listening skill through listening to several audio files.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Practice conversation questions.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (喜, 欢/歡, 喜欢/歡, 欢/歡喜, 球, 篮/籃, 网/網, 篮/籃子, 篮/籃球, 网/網球, 上网/網).  2) Teach new characters with terms (乒, 乓, 板, 棒, 足, 乒乓球, 板球, 棒球, 足球).
  2. Conversation questions (I like…, I do not like, Do you like…).
  3. 1) Go over the answer key to the grammar review sheet.  Collect for class participation grade.  2) Practice saying your PPT.

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (3/21/12)

Objectives: 1) I can say and write numbers in Chinese.  2) I can create origami product.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Complete rows of characters.  Due next Monday.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (3P: Steven; 5P: Andrew—paper cutting patterns).  2) Quick review (yi, er, san, si, wu, liu, qi, ba).  3) Teach new terms with characters (jiu, shi, ling, bai).
  2. (5P) CD: numbers 1-7.
  3. Make origami products: pinwheel.  Continue tomorrow.
