Procedures for 3/27/12

Procedure for HS Chinese III (3/27/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can introduce myself with details on my physical appearance, various interests and personalities.  2) I can sight read passages fluently.  3) I can create a 5-sentence paragraph with provided pictures.

功课: 1) Practice reading text passages on pages 63-65.  2) Complete your sentences.  Deliver and turn in tomorrow.  3) WB pages 60- 61.  4) Lesson Six chapter test: Thursday, 4/5/12.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Makeup work (Melissa + Colin: quiz).  2) Read text passages on pages 63-65.  4) Please be generous and donate money for Leukemia lymphoma society at 1P tomorrow.
  2. 1) Review and learn new characters with new terms (性, 随/隨, 幽, 默, 感, 感觉/覺, 随/隨和, 个/個性,个/個子, 卷/捲, 春卷/捲).  2) Pair or independent work: Compose 5 Chinese sentences with the provided picture.  Share for participation grade tomorrow.



Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (3/27/12)

Objectives: 1) I can sight read text passages fluently.  2) I can apply what I have learned to create a skit.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Practice reading text page 77.  Round robin reading pages 77-78: Friday, 3/30/12.


  1. 1) Take one copy of lessons 8-9 skit checklist and skit cards.  2) Go to the back of auditorium during E/I for DC trip information.  3) Go over skit details and skit cards.
  2. 1) Check students’ work on SmartBoard.  2) Read text passage on page 77.
  3. Seat work / Pair activity: work on your skit dialogue.



Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (3/27/12)

Objectives: 1) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese food and table manners.  3) I can count from zero to one hundred.

Homework: Review Chinese counting principle.


  1. 1) Quick review Chinese counting principle.  2) Count from 0 to 100.  3) Makeup work (3P: Liz / Raman: quiz & WS; 5P: Michael: gift box).
  2. 1) Culture reading: Chinese food.  2) DVD: Chinese Table Manners.
  3. 1) Brainstorm ideas for art project.  2) Showcase art projects.
