Procedure for HS Chinese IV (3/19/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can talk about my holiday and how I enjoyed it.  2) I can make sentences with newly learned phrase.

功课: 1) Write new characters.  2) Study sentence patterns on page 17.  3) Make 2 sentences with (才…又).  Due next Monday, 3/26/12.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Return quiz papers.  Ni Hao 4 Lesson One Part I Quiz #1: Monday, 3/26/12.  2) Quick review: supplementary terms handout.  3) Read 1st and 2nd passages as a class.
  2. 1) Take turns reading Lesson One Module One 3rd Passage.  2) Finish up “Present/Deliver 30 sentences”.  3) Share information on page 3.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (3/19/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can compare and describe people and objects with adjectives.  2) I can understand grading criteria for my video project.  3) I can ask simple conversation questions.

功课: 1) Write new characters.  2) WB page 58.  3) Practice reading text passages on pages 62-63.  4) Quiz on comparison sentences + vocabulary: Monday, 3/26/12.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Take one copy of Video project rubric.  2) Amazing Race + Conversation Questions?  3) Makeup work??.  4) Return papers.
  2. 1)   Quick review (高, 矮, 长, 短, 比, 比较, 像, 好像).  2) Teach new characters with terms (挺 ó 塌, 胖 ó 瘦, 苗, 苗条/條, 叔叔, 那么, < adjective > 多了, 好久不见, 为什么).  3) Go over rubric.

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (3/19/12)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about favorite sports.  2) I can build solid grammar foundation through reviewing.  3) I can understand the grading rubric for my PPT project.

Homework: Write new characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of PPT checklist.  2) Captains check Lesson Nine definitions.  3) Makeup work/test (2P: Joy, T.J., Jennifer—PPT; Alex—test/worksheet, Jonah—worksheet/test/PPT/audacity, Travis—test/worksheet, James—test/PPT/audacity, Josh—worksheet; 7P: Kelley—PPT/worksheet, Jennifer—worksheet/PPT, Syam, Alex—worksheet/test, Abigail, Weston, Maddie, Jackson, Justin, Noah—PPT).  4) Return papers (test papers + worksheet).  5) Work in media center on 3/22/12.  6) Browse through Lesson Nine.
  2. Teach new characters with terms (喜, 欢/歡, 喜欢/歡, 欢/歡喜, 球, 篮/籃, 网/網, 篮/籃子, 篮/籃球, 网/網球).
  3. Go over Checklist.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (3/19/12)

Objectives: 1) I can say and write numbers in Chinese.  2) I can explore Chinese folk art of cutting paper.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Complete rows of writing Chinese characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (3P: Peter W., Erin, Amanda—qui#1; 5P: Jose—worksheet/quiz, Taylor, Maisy—take quiz#1 by tomorrow).  2) Return papers.  3) Show and Tell.  4) Quiz #2: Monday, 3/26/12 (12 numbers + 8 picture characters).
  2. Teach numbers with characters (yi, er, san, si).
  3. 1) Culture reading: Chinese writing/pronunciation.  (3P) Showcase publications.  2) Culture reading: Chinese tea.
  4. Complete paper pattern cutting.  Collect for grades.  (3P) Due tomorrow.
