Procedures for 4/18/12

Procedure for HS Chinese IV (4/18/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can orally describe people in details, including physical appearance, interests, and personality traits.  2) I can introduce my or someone’s name in an authentic way.

功课: 1) ) 写新生字.  2) Movie unit due Friday, 5/4/12.  Electronic version will be e-mailed to you by the end of this weekend.  3) Report a way to introduce your Chinese name on Friday, 4/20/12.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Take one set of Lesson One characters worksheet and one set of story map/anticipation guide.  Go over story map and anticipation guide for writing requirements.  2) Teach new characters with terms (選/选, 人選/选, 佳, 最佳 = 最好, 導/导, 導師/导师, 章, 文章, 弓, 弓箭).
  2. 1) Review ways to introduce one self.  2) Explain way to introduce Chinese last names and full name (張, 林, 李…).

Procedure for HS Chinese III (4/18/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can write my friend a letter to share my life with him/her.  2) I can ask and answer questions in Chinese.

功课: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Complete your answers for conversation handout.  Q/A tomorrow.  3) Your letter to a friend due: Tuesday, 4/24/12.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Take one copy of conversation handout.  2) Quick review (旅, 旅行, 行李, 旅客, 打算, 暑, 中暑, 假, 假人, 暑假, 春假, 寒假, 参, 参加, 些, 一些, 哪些, 这/這些, 那些).  3) Go over conversation questions handout.
  2. 1) Go over text passages on page 56.  2) Pair activity: WB page 56.  Go over the answer key.
  3. Go over conversation handout.  Q/A session on conversation handout tomorrow.

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (4/18/12)

Objectives: 1) I can name various body parts.  2) I can describe my physical appearance.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Review handout.  3) Physical description paragraph due next Tuesday, 4/24/12.

Procedure:

  1. 1) (7P) Go over the Voki instruction handout.  2) Quick review (眼睛, 眉毛, 耳朵).  3) (2P) Class activity: Lesson Seven: family pets.  4) Go over / Pronounce body parts supplementary terms handout.
  2. Teach new characters with terms (头/頭,发/髮, 头发/頭髮, 长/長, 短, 脸/臉).
  3. 1) Teach ways to describe one’s physical appearance.  2) Write sentences to describe oneself.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (4/18/12)

Objectives: 1) I can apply what I have learned and create an art project.  2) I can introduce myself in Chinese.  3) I can learn to sing Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes in Chinese.

Homework: Oral presentation tomorrow.  Practice reading your sentences.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your art project one by one.  2) Presentation, if desired.  3) Practice reading your oral presentation.  4) Showcase art projects.   5) (3P) Teach body parts, if time allows.  Sing Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.
  2. Do your homework or enjoy reading Chinese literature.
