Procedure for HS Chinese IV (4/20/12)

 目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can describe a person in details, including physical appearance, interests, and personality traits.  2) I can acquire cultural, historical knowledge about China through viewing a Chinese film.

功课: 1) 寫新生字.  2) Complete your movie anticipation guide.  Due next Friday.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Take one set of Movie Discussion Questions and one copy of conversation questions.  2) Quick review (選/选, 人選/选, 佳, 最佳 = 最好, 導/导, 導師/导师, 章, 文章, 弓, 弓箭).  3) Teach new characters with terms (立, 起立, 聽說/听说, 教, 教學/学, 教師, 教室, 認/认, 認/认得, 認/认真, 關/关, 關係/关系, 關/关心 ó 開/开心 ó 熱/热心 ó 小心).
  2. 1) Introduce your Chinese name.  2) Oral practice with supplementary terms handout.  3) Text page 7.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (4/20/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can talk about travel plan and preparation.  I can comprehend an itinerary.  2) I can interpret my video project content correctly.  3) I can write a letter.

功课: 1) Complete your letter.  Due Tuesday, 4/24/12.  2) Practice reading text passages.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Get one copy of checklist for your assignment of writing a letter assignment and one copy of Lesson Seven text passages.  2) Round robin reading text pages 74-75: Friday, 4/24/12.  3) Go over simple checklist.
  2. 1) Read text passage on page 74.  2) Go over text page 58.
  3. Video project quiz time ó Seat work: Brainstorm topics/ideas for your letter.  Draft your sentences.

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (4/20/12)

Objectives: 1) I can name various body parts.  2) I can describe my physical appearance.  3) I can play game to reinforce terms that I have learned.  4)

Homework: 1) Complete your physical description paragraph.  Due Tuesday, 4/24/12.  2) WB pages 63/66.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Get one copy of song lyrics.  2) 2P class students work at media center on Thursday, 4/26; 7P students work at the media canter on Wednesday, 4/25.  3) Teach new characters with terms (鼻, 鼻子, 嘴巴, 朋, 友, 朋友, 好朋友. 老朋友, 女朋友 ó 男朋友, 小朋友).
  2. 1) Conversation Q/A.  2) (7P) Song time.

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (4/20/12)

Objectives: 1) I can introduce myself in Chinese.  2) I can sing Chinese songs and explore Chinese pop music.  3) I can play Chinese games.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

  1. 1) Finish up oral presentation (3P: Chaz, Sarah, Bliss, Jake, Ben, Wyatt, Geena; 5P: Megan, Hunter).  2) Makeup test (5P: Hunter).  3) Check ProgressBook for accuracy, please.
  2. 1) Culture reading: Food Balance and Family Meals.  2) Game time / Song time.
