Procedure for Chinese IV (5/14/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can talk about personality traits.  2) I can sharpen my listening and sight-reading skills.

功课: 1) WB page 10.  2) Sight Reading/Listening comprehension quiz: Friday, 5/18/12.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Ms. checks your WB pages 9/11.  Go over answer key.  2) Practice reading / go over text passages on page 6.

 

 

Procedure for Chinese III (5/14/12)

目标: 1) I can talk about my traveling plan, traveling preparation and traveling itinerary.  2) I can ask and answer simple questions.

功课: 1) Complete WB page 76, if not completed in class.  2) Culture reading: text pages 84-85.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Finish up round robin reading (Ryan, Nate, Claire, Adam, Wyatt, Colin) after class.  Work at Red Lab tomorrow.  International Cultural Festival: 5:30 to 8 PM this Friday, 5/18/12 at HS Cafeteria.  $2 admission for food and performance.  Senior Cook-out – Friday, during the lunch periods, on the lower-level patio, outside of the Athletic Office. All seniors are invited.
  2. 2) Pair activity: WB page 76.  Go over the answer key.  3) Teach enrichment characters/terms (港, 香港, 海港, 香水, 龙/龍眼).
  3. Conversation questions practice.  Q/A.

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (5/14/12)

Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my semester exam.  2) I can create a PPT file to introduce myself.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Practice conversation questions.  3) Add new sentences to your PPT.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Welcome back.  Work at Media Center (2P: Lab 2; 7P: Lab 1) on 5/23/12 to finish up your PPT.  International Cultural Festival: 5:30 to 8 PM this Friday, 5/18/12 at HS Cafeteria.  $2 admission for food and performance.  2) Makeup work (2P: Angel, Lance, Joshua, Jonah—character worksheet; 7P: Justin, Michael, John, Alissa—character worksheet).  3) Quick review of all learned vocabulary.  Return papers (chapter test / character worksheet).
  2. 1) Teach new characters with terms (淇, 淋, 冰淇淋, 菜, 中国/國菜, 美国/國菜, 春, 卷/捲, 春天).  2) Class activity: practice conversation questions.  Q/A.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (5/14/12)

Objectives: 1) I can count from zero to one hundred in Chinese.  2) I can explore Chinese folk art of folding paper.

Homework: Review number table.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (3P: Trevor—quiz #1 + 8 character worksheet + ??; 5P: Lexi, Nick—quiz #1 + ??).  International Cultural Festival: 5:30 to 8 PM this Friday, 5/18/12 at HS Cafeteria.  $2 admission for food and performance.  2) 7th graders coach 8th graders 12 characters (pronunciation and writing strokes).  3) Quick review (yi, er, san, si, wu, liu, qi, ba, jiu, shi, ling, bai).
  2. 1) Pass out/go over number table handout.  2) Teach Chinese counting principle.  3) Count from zero to one hundred.
  3. Prepare origami.  Learn to fold pin wheel.
