Procedures for 5/17/12

Procedure for Chinese III (5/17/12)

目標 (MùBiāo): 1) I can create a video to introduce my traveling plan, traveling preparation, and itinerary.  2) I can review for Lesson Seven chapter test.

功課: 1) Study for chapter test tomorrow.  2) Video project due tomorrow.  3) Lesson Seven character worksheet due tomorrow.

程序 (ChéngXù):

1.   1) Use your checklist to go over your video.  Save it as a movie (not save as a project!!) and turn in your flash drive tomorrow.  2) Go to P drive Ms. Chang’s folder, click 3rd edition Ni Hao 3 interactive game.  Then click Lesson Seven for review.  3) Correction: Study Guide: Writing section: WB page 70, 73 (not 72) and 77 bottom.

Procedure for HS Chinese IV (5/16/12)

 目標 (MùBiāo): I can prepare for my chapter test.

功課: 1) Sight read text passages on page 6 / Listening quiz: Friday, 5/18/12.  2) Study for Lesson One Passage Two chapter test: Tuesday, 5/22/12.  Turn in your character worksheet Tuesday, 5/22/12.  3) WB page 12.

程序 (ChéngXù):

1.   1) Ms. Chang checks your WB page 10.  Go over answer key.  2) ) Get one copy of chapter test study guide.  Go over important terms in the study guide.

2.   Practice reading text passages on page 6.

 

 

Procedure for Chinese III (5/16/12)

目標 (MùBiāo): I can prepare for my chapter test.

功課: 1) Video project due: Friday, 5/18/12.  2) Study for Lesson Seven chapter test: Friday, 5/18/12.  Turn in your Lesson Seven character worksheet Friday, 5/18/12.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Seven Study Guide.  Room 29 will be used for AP testing tomorrow, please move to Media Center tomorrow.  2) Makeup work (Adam/Kate: WB page 77; Antonio: WB pages 76/80; Caelan: WB page 76; Nate: round robin reading.)  3) Go over study guide.  4) Go over text passages on text pages 82-83.  5) Practice writing samples.

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (5/16/12)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my food preference.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese food.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Practice reading your PPT.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Ms. Chang checks your PPT printout.  Lesson Eleven vocabulary quiz: Thursday, 5/24/12.  2) Chinese Club meeting: Tuesday, 5/22/12.  Let Ms. Chang know if you plan to come.  3) Makeup work (2P: Colin: Lesson Ten chapter test; Jonah: Lesson Ten character worksheet).
  2. 1) each new character with terms (炒, 饭/飯, 炒饭/飯, 白饭/飯, 炒菜, 筷, 筷子, 做, 做饭/飯 = 做菜, 拿, 拿筷子, 拿书/書,拿笔/筆). 2) Model conversation dialogue (2P: Angel, Lana, Travis; 7P: John, Tyler.  3) Sample traditional Chinese breakfast items/snack (Shao Bing, You2 Tiao2, Shrimp cracker).

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (5/16/12)

Objectives: 1) (5P) I can count from zero to one hundred.  3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese martial art.

Homework: (8th graders) Quiz #2: Monday, 5/21/12.  Quiz #3: Friday, 5/25/12.  (7th graders) Quiz #3: Monday, 5/21/12.

Procedure:

  1. 1) (7th graders) Ms. Chang collects your writing assignment of 12 Chinese characters.  Makeup work (3P: Trevor: Quiz #1).  2) Questions?  3) Quiz #2 / Quiz #1 (3P: Trevor).  4) DVD: Chinese martial arts.
  2. 1) (5P) Count from zero to one hundred.  2) Complete gift box.  Collect as participation grade.
