Procedures for 5/17/12

Procedure for Chinese III (5/17/12)

目標 (MùBiāo): 1) I can create a video to introduce my traveling plan, traveling preparation, and itinerary.  2) I can review for Lesson Seven chapter test.

功課: 1) Study for chapter test tomorrow.  2) Video project due tomorrow.  3) Lesson Seven character worksheet due tomorrow.

程序 (ChéngXù):

1.   1) Use your checklist to go over your video.  Save it as a movie (not save as a project!!) and turn in your flash drive tomorrow.  2) Go to P drive Ms. Chang’s folder, click 3rd edition Ni Hao 3 interactive game.  Then click Lesson Seven for review.  3) Correction: Study Guide for Lesson Seven: Writing section: WB pages 70, 73, and 77 bottom instead of 70, 72 and 77 bottom.

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (5/17/12)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about food preference.  2) I can review for my semester exam.  3) I can ask and answer simple questions.

Homework: Review all learned terms.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (饿/餓, 吃, 喝, 渴, 想, 点/點, 一点/點, 一点/點儿, 东/東西, 三明治, 果汁, 水果, 牛奶, 热/熱狗, 热/熱水, 今天很热/熱, 冰水, 冰山, 冰棒, 汉/漢堡 = 汉/堡包, 炒饭, 炒菜, 筷子, 做饭 = 做菜, 拿筷子).  2) Makeup work—PPT printout (2P: Andrew B., Lance, T.J. ; 7P: Kelly, Maddie, Matt, Jennifer, Mason).  3) Pair activity: read your PPT to your partner.  Take out your PPT checklist and have your partner checks your PPT for any missed components.  4) Sample Chinese breakfast items: sweet shao bing + scallion pancakes.
  2. 1) Model conversation questions (2P: Chloe; 7P: Westin).  2) Conversation questions practice.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (5/17/12)

Objectives: 1) I can make sentences to introduce myself.  2) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.

Homework: 1) Practice reading sentences #1-#3.  2) Art project due 6/4/12.  Oral presentation 6/5/12.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return writing assignment papers.  Makeup work (3P: Natalie & Kevin P—quiz #2 + 12 character writing; Maddie G. – quiz #2 + 12-character writing on/before Friday; Jovana: 12-character writing assignment; 5P: Tricia: 12-character writing assignment; Alexander—quiz #2 + 12 characters writing).  2) Pass out/go over oral presentation handout.
  2. 1) Teach new terms (sui, jia, you, ge ren).  2) Make sentences #1-#3.  3) Practice reading sentences #1-#3.  4) Introduce art project requirements.
