Procedures for 5/18/12

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (5/18/12)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about food preferences.  2) I can review for my semester exam.  3) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) WB page 69.

Procedure:

1.   1) Teach new characters with terms (全, 全家, 全班, 全校, 全国/國, 炸, 虾/蝦, 虾/蝦子, 龙虾/龍蝦, 片, 鸡/雞, 炸鸡/雞, 鸡/雞片, 炸鱼/片, 生鱼/魚, 好吃, 好好吃).  2) Listening activity: WB page 70.  Go over answer key.

2.   1) (7P) Conversation question modeling (7P: Alexis, Emma) 2) (2P) Conversation questions practice.  3) Chopsticks relay game.

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (5/18/12)

Objectives: 1) I can write sentences to describe myself.  2) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.

Homework: 1) Practice reading sentences #1-#4.  2) Study for your quiz #2 (8th graders) or quiz #3 (7th graders).

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (3P: Jovana: 12—character writing assignment / Maddie: quiz #2; 5P: Alexander—12 character writing assignment).  2) International Culture Night—5:30-8 pm at MS!!  3) Quick review – read sentences #1-#3.
  2. 1) Pass out art project requirements + Oral presentation handout.  2) Teach new terms (baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei, liang).  3) Construct sentence #4.  4) Read sentences #1-#3.
  3. Showcase art project samples.
