Procedure for HS Chinese IV (5/1/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can acquire cultural and historical knowledge about China through viewing a Chinese film.  2) I can sharpen my Chinese listening skill through viewing a Chinese film.

功课: Complete your movie discussion questions.  Due this Friday.

程序 (ChéngXù):

Watch movie and answer comprehension questions in the packet.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (5/1/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can talk about my preparation for my travel plan.  2) I can create / tell a story.

功课: 写/寫新生字。Practice saying your story if you have not done so today.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Makeup work—(Jay: WB page 71/RRR, Colin: WB pages 67-68, 70-71, & letter; Kate: create and tell a story).  Conversation questions (Melissa, Colin, Wyatt, Cait, Adam, & Antonio).  Write/Read a letter (Lillian, Cait, Wyatt).  2) Review and learn new characters with terms (张/張, 挺, 准备/準備, 带/帶, 已经/經, 机/機, 飞/飛, 起飞/飛,飞机/飛機, 飞机场/飛機場,电视机/電視機, 洗衣机/機, 票, 机/機票, 门/門票, 不过/過, 可是, 但是, 凉快, 当/當然, 手机/機, 担心, 迷路).

2.   1) Present your story with a picture (Caelan, Kristen, Heidi, Jay, John,).  2) Group activity: share your story.  .




Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (5/1/12)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my food preference.  2) I can reinforce my Chinese learning through playing games.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Complete your sentences about a friend.


  1. 1) Team day next Monday, 5/7/12.  Chinese I students report to Ms. Chang for chapter test.  2) Makeup work (7P: Alissa/Matt: WB pages 60-61 / Maddie).  3) Quick review (饿/餓, 吃, 喝, 渴, 想).  4) (7P) Browse through Lesson Eleven.  5) Teach new characters with terms (西, 点/點, 一点/點, 一点/點儿,东/東,东/東西, 治, 三明治, 果, 汁, 果汁, 水果).
  2. Song time / game time.




Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (5/1/12)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can write simple Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Complete writing rows of Chinese chracters.
