Procedure for HS Chinese III (5/24/12)

目標 (MùBiāo): 1) I can talk about illness and describe symptoms.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about traditional Chinese medicine.

功課: 1) 写/寫新生字.  2) Semester exam oral part: Thursday / Friday, 5/31 and 6/1/12.  Semester exam writing part: 1P (7:30-9:00 am), Thursday, 6/7.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Ms. Chang checks your WB page 55.  2) Quick review (病, 头/頭疼, 喉咙/嚨疼, 发烧/發燒).  3) Teach new characters with terms (感, 冒, 休, 息, 休学/學, 事, 沒事, 怎么/麼啦 = 怎么/麼了).
  2. 1) Model conversation question Q/A (Kristen).  2) Video clip:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2js47hNKwE (English).  3) Traveling video presentation (Ryan).




Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (5/24/12)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about food preferences.  2) I can review for semester exam.

Homework: 1) Study for your vocabulary quiz tomorrow.  2) WB pages 77/79, if not done in class.


  1. 1) Captains check WB page 73.  Go over answer key.  2) Listening activity: WB page 75.  Go over answer key.
  2. 1) Go over text pages 102-103.  2) Seat work: WB pages 77/79.


**  Concert Assembly schedule today.  30  minutes for both classes.



Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (5/24/12)

Objectives: 1) I can name colors in Chinese.  2) I can acquire terms for my favorite sports and animals.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) (8th graders) Study for your quiz #3 (Connecting the dots) tomorrow.


  1. 1) Pass out colors flash cards.  Teach (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se).
  2. Pass out/Go over animals/sports handouts.  Supplementary terms??

3.   (5P) DVD: The Adventures of Panda.


**   Concert Assembly schedule today.  30 minutes for 3P class and 50 minutes for 5P class.
