Objectives: I can acquire knowledge about studying in China.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return (7P) Chinese traditional painting + PPT papers.  2) Makeup work (2P: Jonah: textbook + PPT printout).  3) Check ProgressBook for accuracy, please.  4) PPT presentation (2P: Joy, Lance, Ben, Cameron, T.J., Brynne, Anna, Jamie; 7P: Abigail, Kelly, Maddie, Jennifer, Syam, Justin, Mason, Michael, Amari, Noah, Alissa).
  2. Think about questions to ask our guest speaker, Trey Rainey, tomorrow.  .

Procedure for Chinese III (6/4/12)

目標 (MùBiāo): I can prepare my semester exam.

功課: Study for your semester exam on Thursday.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Makeup work (Aashna, Colin, Adam, Brad—WB pages; Claire/Brad: video project); 2) Turn in your Lesson Eight character worksheet.  3) Return papers.
  2. Practice writing problems & Chinese II and III grammar review problems.

Objectives: I can introduce and talk about myself in Chinese.

Homework: Practice reading your PPT if you have not done so.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (2P: Jonah—semester exam, oral, PPT; Joy, Lance, Ben, Cameron, Brynne, Jennifer, Jamie—PPT, printout, checklist.  Josh talks to Ms. Chang, please.  7P: Alex—quiz/PPT; Justin—textbook; Noah, Amari—printout; Jennifer, Maddie—talk to Ms. Chang).  2) Return papers (vocabulary quiz, character worksheet, PPT).
  2. Oral presentation.

Objectives: 1) I can create an art project with learned Chinese terms.  2) I can talk about myself in Chinese.

Homework: Practice reading your 10 sentences.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (5P: L. Matta—quiz #4).  2) Ms. Chang collects your art projects.
  2. 1) Practice reading sentences #1-#10.  2) Art project presentation, if interested.  3) Early oral presentation, if time available.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (6/1/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can talk about illness and describe symptoms.  2) I can prepare for my semester exam.

功课: Study for your semester exam.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Turn in your exam permission form for Ms. Chang’s signature.  2) Take your WB home to study.  3) Turn in your Lesson Eight character worksheet on/before Monday and textbook on/before 6/7/12.  4) Makeup work (Caelan, Colin, Wyatt, Brad, John, Nate, Adam—WB pages 82, 84-85; Brad, Claire—video).
  2. 1) Practice writing problems.  2) Test samples of grammar correction problems.

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer conversation questions in Chinese.  2) I can talk about myself in Chinese.

Homework: Practice reading your PPT, if you are not done yet.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (2P: Jonah: Grammar correction/oral exam; Joy: character worksheet; 7P: Syam, Alex—character worksheet).  2) Return textbook.  3) Oral exam (2P: Andrew Bruno, Alex, Ben; 7P: Kelly, Michael, Matt).
  2. PPT presentation.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (6/1/12)

Objectives: 1) I can name colors in Chinese.  2) I can explore Chinese tangram game.  3) I can introduce myself in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Complete your art project.  Due next Monday.  2) Practice reading your oral presentation.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Practice reading sentences #1-#10.  2) Quiz #4.  3) Earlier oral presentation/Earlier turning in art project start Monday.
  2. 1) Tangram piece: Part II.  3) DVD: Chinese silk / embroidery.  Showcase silk worm cocoon and silk thread.  4) Showcase HS Chinese class video productions (music and traveling).
