Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (9/5/12)

目标: 1) I can describe weather.  2) I can discriminate vowels, consonants, and tones in taking dictation.  3) I can recognize and read Chinese text passages fluently.  4) I can listen to audio recording and answer comprehension questions.  5) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.

功课: 1) Read Lesson Nine text passage section 1.  2) Review question words.

程序:

  1. 1) Collect signature slip.  Pass out ProgressBook password.  Picture day tomorrow.  2) 听录音 (Lu4 Yin1).  Q/A…
  2. 1) 听写.  2) Class activity: 唸课文 (nian4 ke4 wen2): Lessons 7-10.  3) Group activity: Making sentences with question words (who, whose, what, when, where, How, Why).

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (9/5/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms.  2) (7P only) I can blend and discriminate consonant b with other vowels.  3) I can acquire general information about China through watching video segments.

Homework:1) Review learned terms, consonants and vowels.  2) Try new website tool: http://www.quickmandarin.com/chinesepinyintable/pinyintable_vertical.php.  3) China reading packet due tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Any signature slip?  MS open house tomorrow.  2) Got your book cover?  If yes, claim your textbook and sign your name on the textbook inventory sheet.  3) Missing information (2P: Adam, Keaton, Suzu; 7P: Ahkien)
  2. 1) Quick review and dictation.  2) DVD: General Information about China.
  3. Teach new terms (Zhang Lao Shi, Zai Jian, Xie Xie, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi).

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (9/5/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms.  2) I can acquire historical, geographical and cultural knowledge about China.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) China reading packet due tomorrow, if incomplete in class.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Collect signature slips.  MS open house tomorrow.  2) Quick review (10 terms).
  2. 1) Teach new terms (Zhang Lao Shi, Zai Jian, Xie Xie, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi).  2) DVD: Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing.
  3. Pair activity: complete China reading packet.  Collect.  If not complete, it becomes your H/W.
