Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (9/6/12)

目标: 1) I can describe weather.  2) I can discriminate vowels, consonants, and tones in taking dictation.  2) I can recognize and read Chinese text passages fluently.  4) I can listen to audio recording and answer comprehension questions.

功课: 1) 写/知道新生字 (晴, 阴)。2) Pinyin quiz tomorrow.


  1. 1) ) Class activity: 唸课文 (nian4 ke4 wen2).  2) 听录音 (Lu4 Yin1).  Q/A… 3) 听写.
  2. Teach ”你好二: 第九课天气”.



Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (9/6/12)


Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms.  2) I can blend and discriminate consonant b with various vowels.

Homework: 1) Review learned greeting terms, consonants and vowels.  2) Read text book pages 1-2, 4, and top of 5.


  1. 1) Missing signature slip / missing information (2P: Adam R., Amari, Suzu, Kyle).  Any book cover to claim your textbook? (2P: Steffen, Macy, Michale, Hannah, Jose, Kyle, Louis; 7P: Chloe, Alexa).  2) Collect China reading packet.  3) Quick review (15 terms) and dictation.
  2. 1) Teach new terms (Qi Li, Jing Li, Qing Zuo, Zuo Xia).  2) Teach consonant b.  3) Introduce the layout/structure of textbook.





Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (9/6/12)


Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms. 2) I can acquire historical, geographical and cultural knowledge about China.

Homework: Review 19 learned terms.


  1. 1) Collect China reading packet.  Find classroom that you need to report during E/I period today.  2) Quick review (15 terms).  3) Class activity: practice thank and you’re welcome routine.
  2. 1) Teach new terms (Qi Li, Jing Li, Qing Zuo, Zuo Xia).  2) Culture reading: pages 1-2.
