Procedures for 9/24/12

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (9/24/12)

目标: 1) 我会说说天气。2) I can review Ni Hao Two to reinforce what I learned before.

功课: 1) 看课本九十八页下面和九十九页上面。2) 唸第九课课文第二段。

程序:

  1. Spirit week is this week.  The winning class gets a free “sweatpants day!” Other great prizes are up for grabs! Show your Bee pride!

 

Monday – “Tie Dye” – Dyed ties are in order!
Tuesday – Super Hero Day – biggest sandwich wins!
Wednesday – Western day – Green peppers, onions and ham!
Thursday – Class Colors – Stay inside the lines.
Friday – Spirit Day – Crimson and Gold ghosts only!

 

  1. 1) Return your pen pal letter draft.  Final w/rubric and draft due this Friday.  2) NSLI-Y scholarship is available for application.  Use the link, http://www.nsliforyouth.org/how-to-apply/, to check out the application form.  Deadline is 11/1/12.  2) 史玖丹 / 苏丽雯talk to Ms. Chang after class, please.  3) Get your book cover and receive your textbook tomorrow.
  2. 1) Quick review (风沙, 常常, 不常, 时常, 平常, 非常, 又…又).  2) Review ways to say time.  3) Review terms for days (今天, 明天, 後天, 大後天, 昨天, 前天, 大前天, 上午, 中午, 下午, 早上, 晚上).
  3. 1) 唸第九课课文第二段。2) 唸第一课第二课课文。3) Writing practice: time / money.

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (9/24/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can use website tools to type pinyin and Chinese characters.  2) I can write my Chinese name.

Homework: Write 6 rows of Chinese characters (2 rows for each of your Chinese name characters).  Due tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Check your e-mail for two attachments. Use the first one to type a paragraph of pinyin and a paragraph of Chinese characters.  E-mail your work to Ms. Chang through changj@bbhcsd.org.  2) Use the second one to find out your Chinese name.  Let Ms. Chang know your decision.  Learn to write your Chinese name.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (9/24/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can make sentences for my oral presentation.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese family, Chinese leisure activities, and Chinese tea.

Homework: Review counting principle.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup test & other work (5P: James).  2) Quick review (numbers).  4) Counting from zero to one hundred.
  2. 1) Culture reading: Family / Chinese leisure activities / Chinese tea.  Showcase Chinese tea sets, shuttlecocks, Mahjong, and kite.  2) Teach new terms (sui4, jia1, you3, ge, ren).  3) Make sentences #2 and #3.
