Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (9/18/12)

目标: 1) I can understand the grading rubric for pen pal letter and oral exam.  2) I can use question word 几correctly.  4) I can ask and answer simple oral questions.

功课: Prepare and practice oral questions.  Oral exam starts tomorrow and Thursday.

程序:

  1. 1) Sign on Yearbook inventory sheet.  It will be distributed 5 minutes before the end of the period.  2) Pass out / go over rubric for oral exam & pen pal letter.  Pass out Ni Hao Two text passages packet.
  2. 1) Review / go over question word几.  2) Pair practice: oral questions.

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (9/18/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say numbers in Chinese.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Yellow River and Chang Jiang.  3) I can utilize website tools to learn Chinese.

Homework: 1) Complete rows of Chinese characters.  2) Review learned number terms.  3) Use the following links, http://english.cntv.cn/program/learnchinese/20100803/100891.shtml, and  http://english.cntv.cn/program/learnchinese/20100806/100923.shtml. to watch two video clips.  4) Explore two websites, http://www.learnnc.org/search?area=&phrase=mandarin & http://www.mdbg.net/chindict/chindict.php, for our next Monday’s project.

Procedure:

  1. 1) DVD: Huang He and Chang Jiang.  2) Teach new characters (jiu, shi, ling, bai).  3) Audio file: numbers 1-7.
  2. Introduce NC learning project website + MDBG dictionary website.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (9/18/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say numbers in Chinese.  2) I can count from zero to one hundred in Chinese.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese fist guessing game, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese painting, and Chinese New Year painting.

Homework: 1) Review number characters.  2) Review Chinese counting principle for quiz #3.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Collect character writing assignment (3P: whole class + Kaden; 5P: James).  (5P) Return quiz papers / character writing assignment.  2) Teach Chinese counting principle.  3) Count from zero to one hundred in Chinese.
  2. 1) Culture reading: (5P) Chinese calligraphy + fist guessing game.  2) DVD: Chinese painting + Chinese New Year painting.  3) Class activity: fist guessing game.
