Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (9/20/12)

目标: 1) I can write a pen pal letter.  2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  3) I can use interactive game to review my unit exam.  4) I can comprehend conversation dialogue in video clips.

功课: 1) Study your exam tomorrow.  2) Complete your pen pal letter.  Draft due tomorrow.

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (9/20/12)


Objectives: 1) I can discriminate and blend consonants b, p, m, f, d, t, and n with various vowels.  2) I can say numbers in Chinese.  3) I can prepare for the quiz tomorrow.

Homework: 1) Review n section.  2) Review counting principle.  3) Study for your quiz #1 tomorrow.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (9/20/12)


Objectives: 1) I can say family members in Chinese.  2) I can explore Chinese folk art of origami.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about school life and families in China.

Homework: 1) review learned number and pictures characters for quiz #2 tomorrow.  2) Review learned family terms.


  1. 1) Quick review (numbers + picture characters—sounds and meanings).  2) Quiz #3: 9/28/12 (connecting the dots).  3) Teach family terms (baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei).
  2. 1) (3P) Culture reading: school life.  2) Complete origami (pin wheel, gift box).
  3. Pass out / go over supplementary terms handout.
