Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (9/26/12)

目标: 1) 我can comprehend dialogue in audio files.  2) I can review and reinforce what I learned before for Ni Hao Two Unit Review test.

功课: 1) Complete grammar correction worksheet.  2) 唸你好二第五课和第六课课文。

程序:

  1. 1) Pass out Grammar Correction Worksheet.  2) 唸第三课第四课课文。3) 听力测试.
  2. 1) Writing practice.  2) Game time.

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (9/26/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say numbers and math equations in Chinese.  2) I can blend consonant g with various vowels.  3) I can use website tool to review learned characters.

Homework: 1) Study Chinese characters for numbers from zero to one hundred.  2) Review g section.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (2P: Chase, Stephanie, Steeley, Maisy, Donielle, Kyle, Louis; 7P: Emily, Chloe??).  2) Pass out Workbook.  Write down your name right away.  3) Return Chinese characters writing assignment.  Talk to Ms. Chang for clarification of your writing.
  2. 1) Pass out gkhjqx handout and teach consonant (g).  2) Dictation (d, t, n, l, numbers, tone practice).
  3. 1) (2P) Introduce one website: http://www.yellowbridge.com/chinese/flashcards.php, click Ni Hao Volume 1 in the table, click “3. 1 2 3” and “start” to play flash card or memory game to review vocabulary.  2) Pair practice: math equation flash cards + Oral quiz: numbers in Chinese / English.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (9/26/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can make sentences for my oral presentation.  2) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese food.

Homework: 1) Practice reading your sentences.  2) Practice counting principle.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (counting numbers from zero to one hundred).  2) Teach new terms (sheng ri, nian, de, yue, ri).
  2. 1) Teach Chinese date format.  2) Write sentence #5.  3) Read sentences #1-5.  Collect draft #1.

3.   1) (5P) Pass out / go over art project requirements.  2) (5P) Showcase pictures of art project (PPT, movies, baking, singing, crafts).  3) (3P) Culture reading: Chinese food.  4) (3P) Show panda pictures.
