Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (9/27/12)
目标: 1) 我会说说天气。2) I can review and prepare for Ni Hao Two Review Unit test on next Friday.
功课: 1) 写 / 知道新生字. 2) 唸课文第七课, 第八课。3) Pen Pal letter due tomorrow. Only one copy w/rubric for tomorrow.
程序:
- Who had western clothing yesterday? 2) Claim your textbook, please (Ted, Stefan, Rachel).
- Ms. Chang returns Ni Hao One Unit Review test papers and passes out student photo ID. 2) Ms. Chang checks/goes over grammar correction worksheet.
- 1) Teach new characters (预, 报, 温, 度, 云). 2) Go over conversation handout.
Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (9/27/12)
Objectives: 1) I can say numbers and math equations in Chinese. 2) I can blend consonant k with various vowels. 3) I can pronounce syllables fluently and accurately.
Homework: 1) Review section k. 2) Write rows of Chinese characters. 3) Study for your quiz #2 tomorrow.
Procedure:
- 1) Quick review + dictation (g). 2) Whole class activity : Read syllables (b, p, m, f, d, t, n, l). 3) (2P) Finalize sock issue?? 4) Quiz #3: Friday, 10/5/12. It covers 1) memorization of your Chinese name, reading any random 4 syllables from bpmf, dtnl handout, and blending for gkhjqx handout. Chapter Three unit test: Friday, 10/12/12. It covers math equations in all 4 LRSW skills and blendings in zh ch sh z s c handout.
- 1) Teach k section. 2) Teach new characters (乘, 以, 除以).
- Class activity: 1) Say math equations with flash cards + Oral quiz (numbers in Chinese + English).
Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (9/27/12)
Objectives: 1) I can write/say sentences about myself in Chinese. 2) I can brainstorm and get ideas about my art project. 3) I can acquire culture knowledge about Chinese food and panda.
Homework: Study for your quiz #3 tomorrow.
Procedure:
- 1) Return / go over draft #1. 2) Art project due 10/8/12. Oral presentation: Oct. 9 and Oct. 10. 3) Read sentences #1-#5. 3) Quick review (baba, mama, gege, jiejie, did, meimei). 4) (3P) Watch 2 minutes’ video for JamWorld event.
- 1) (3P) Go over the requirements for art project. 2) (5P) Panda pictures and Culture reading: Chinese food. 3) Showcase project samples (drawings, PPT, baking, crafts, singing, videos, etc).
