Procedures for 10/1/12

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (10/1/12)

目标: 1) 我会说天气。2) 我会中文会话。3) I can prepare for my Ni Hao Two review test.

功课: 作业本第八十和八十四页。


  1. 1) Ms. Chang returns your pen pal letter.  Turn in two copies w/picture on/before Wednesday.  E-mail Ms. Chang your pen-pal letter by Friday, 10/5/12.  Oral presentation: Monday and Tuesday, 10/8 and 10/9/12.  2) Claim your books (金泰德, 乐芝蕾).  3) Makeup work (乐芝蕾, 李文敦, 柯佩芝, 林凯丽—你好二第三, 第四课; 越野, 莫薇芝: worksheet;).  4) Pass out study guide for Ni Hao Two Review Exam & Checklist for the oral exam.
  2. 1) Teach (死, 就, 哇, 会).  2) Review (房间, directions).  3) Go over conversation handout – pair practice activity.



Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (10/1/12)


Objectives: 1) I can say math equations.  2) I can blend consonants k, h, and j with various vowels.  3) I can pronounce various syllables.  4) I can read text passages fluently.

Homework: 1) Review consonants k, h, and j section.  2) Quiz #3: Friday, gkhjqx handout, Chinese name, and reading 4 bpmf & dtnl syllables.


  1. 1) Ms. Chang returns your quiz papers.  2) Makeup work (2P: Chase, Alex, Stephen, Keaton).  3) Pass out / read Lesson Three text passages on page 20.
  2. 1) Teach consonants k, h, and j.  2) Class activity.  3) Pair activity: practice with flash cards (+, -, x, ÷) & read syllables in bpmf & dtnl handouts.  4) (2P) Showcase Chinese abacus.




Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (10/1/12)


Objectives: 1) I can use a website tool to type Chinese pinyin or characters.  2) I can say colors in Chinese.  3) I can make sentences about myself.  4) acquire culture knowledge about Chinese

Homework: 1) Practice reading sentences #1-#7.


  1. 1) Quiz #4 (colors): Friday, 10/5/12.  2) Return quiz #3 papers. 3) Review address format.  4) Write sentences #6-#7.  5) Read sentences #1-#7.
  2. 1) (5P) Introduce website to type Chinese characters and pinyin,  2) Pass out / make colors flash cards.  3) (3P) Teach colors (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se).
