Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (10/15/12)

目标: 1) I can understand how to prepare my Lesson Nine chapter test.  2) I can ask and answer simple questions about weather.  3) I can comprehend the audio recording about weather.

功课: 1) Practice your Lesson Nine oral exam.  2) Study your Lesson Nine chapter test. 3) Plan and draft your weather project.


  1. 1) Record down room number for testing day.  Report to that classroom on Wednesday, please.  2) Makeup work (倪德範—2, 李文敦—2, 益怡湘, 卡蕾秋, 莫薇芝—2, 柏莉雅).
  2. 1) Pass out / go over study guide.  2) Pass out / go over Lesson Nine sample conversation questions.  3) Listening activity.  Q/A.
  3. Pair activity: 1) Newspaper weather forecast.  2) Conversation practice.




Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (10/15/12)


Objectives: 1) I can discriminate consonants zh, sh, ch, r, c, s, z and compound vowels ai, ao, and ei.  2) I can express basic greetings in Chinese characters.  3) I can read syllables fluently and accurately.

Homework: 1) Complete your character writing.  Know their meaning / pronunciation by Wednesday.  2) Review learned compound vowels.


  1. 1) Makeup test (2P: Steeley, Donielle ; 7P: Sean, Chloe).  2) Pass back test papers and writing worksheet.  3) Chinese Club 1st meeting: Wednesday, 10/17/12.  Showcase craft project sample.  Get head count.
  2. 1) Read syllables r, c, s and z.  2) Teach new characters (你, 我, 是, 好).
  3. Pass out / go over Compound Vowels 1 handout.



Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (10/15/12)


Objectives: 1) I can complete my Student Inventory worksheet.  2) I can understand Ms. Chang’s classroom rules and grading policy.

Homework: N/A


1.   1) Sit on your assigned seat.  Get students’ team assignment information.  2) Show Ms. Chang’s daily routine.

2.   Pass out, go over and fill in the Student Inventory.  Collect
