Procedures for 10/22/12

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (10/22/12)

目标: 1) I can apply what I have learned to create a PPT, a brochure, a multi-media Glogster poster, a movie, or a skit about a particular city’s weather.  2) I can ask and answer questions about weather. 3) I can review Chinese & acquire cultural knowledge about various cultural aspects about China through viewing video clips.

功课: 1) Weather project is due at the beginning of the class tomorrow.  Please use Google Docs, e-mail Ms. Chang your project as an attachment, upload it onto your flash drive, or submit to O drive under Ms. Chang’s folder (HS 1P).  2) Know Lesson One learned characters by tomorrow.  3) Be prepared to present your weather project on Wednesday, 10/24/12, and Thursday, 10/25/12.  Please volunteer to read your project to Ms. Chang before and after school.

1.  1) Turn in your Lesson Nine character worksheet.  2) If you want to see your chapter test paper, please claim and browse your paper at the end of the class period.  Ask for a chapter test retake form.  Return it tomorrow.  All re-takes have to be completed by the end of this week.  No retake next week!  3) Makeup work (Jackie, Rachel L., Jordan, Alex).  4) Check out a microphone if you need to make recording with audacity.

2.  1) Finalize your weather project.  2) Take your oral exam, if you have not done so.

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (10/22/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can read and write greeting terms in Chinese.  2) I can read pinyin sentences fluently and accurately.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Review learned pinyin sentences.  2) Complete writing assignment.  3) Quiz #5 (compound vowels 1): Friday, 10/26/12.

Procedure:

1.   1) Return Quiz #4 paper.  2) Quick review (你, 我, 们/們, 好, 老, 师/師, 再, 见/見).  3) Teach new characters (白, 大, 伟/偉, 李, 兰/蘭).

2.   1) DVD: Chinese characters.  2) Go over Review Sounds #1 handout.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (10/22/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say greetings terms in Chinese.  2) I can write simple Chinese characters.  3) I can pick up food with chopsticks.

Homework: 1) Complete writing assignment.  2) Review learned greeting terms.

Procedure:

1.  1) (3P) Return China reading packet.  Makeup work (5P: Cole, Miranda).  2) Quick review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zai Jian, Zao, Zao An, Zao Shang Hao, Ni Zao, Lao Shi, Lao Shi Hao, Xie Xie, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi).

2.  Teach greeting terms (Wu An, Wan An, Shang Ke, Xia Ke).

3.   Teach new characters (ri, yue, shan, mu).  2) (5P) Chopstick practice.
