Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (10/24/12)

目标: 1) I can talk about my class schedule.  2) I can present my weather project orally.  3) I can sight read text passage fluently.  4) I can apply what I have learned to create a skit with a partner.

功课: 1) Skit: due Friday.  Presentation starts on next Monday, 10/29/12.  2) WB pages 1-2.  3) Work on your skit.

程序:

  1. 1) Captains checks class schedule worksheet.  2) Quick review (数学 / 數學, 科学 / 學, 生物, 化学 / 學, 中文 = 汉语 / 語, 英文 = 英语 / 語, 英美文学/ 學, 音乐 / 樂, 美术 / 術, 物理, 地理, 乐/ 樂理, 体 / 體育, 历 / 歷史).  3) Read text passages on page 1.
  2. 1) Class schedule Q/A.  2) Pair activity: compose / draft your skit.
  3. Weather project presentation.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (10/24/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can discriminate various compound vowels.  2) I can sight read pinyin sentences and text passages fluently.  3) I can read / write Chinese greeting terms.  4) I can review hanyu pinyin through watching a video clip.

Homework: 1) Review learned syllables.  2) Practice reading text passages.  3) Complete Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Read text passage on page 8.  2) Teach / Read Review Sounds 1 packet sentences.
  2. 1) Teach (iu, ui).  2) Teach new characters (他, 她, 同, 学 / 學, 同学 / 學, 林).
  3. 1) Pinyin in 6 minutes.  2) Pair practice: reading sentences / syllables.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (10/24/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can recognize/ write Chinese picture characters.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about 4 treasures of study.

Homework: Review learned 21 terms.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Teach new terms (Dong le ma, Dong le, Bu dong, Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi).  2) Teach new characters (shui, huo).
  2. 1) (3P) Cultural reading: China pages 3-4.  Showcase Chinese publications.  2) DVD: Four Treasures in Study + Chinese calligraphy.  3) Showcase 4 treasures + Seals.
