Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (10/17/12)

No Chinese class at HS today due to testing schedule.

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (10/17/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can express basic greetings in Chinese characters.  2) I can blend and pronounce syllables with compound vowels ua, uo, and üe.  4) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese Cloissonne.

Homework: 1) Complete character writing assignments.  2) Review learned syllables.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Captains check WB pages 1 & 4.  Go over answer key.  2) Work at Media Center tomorrow.  3) Teach new characters (再, 见, 再见, 老, 师, 老师, 老人, 们, 你们, 我们, 人们, 老师们).
  2. 1) Teach ua, üe, and uo section.  2) Video clip: The Chinese Cloisonne ó reading 6 syllalbes to Ms. Chang.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (10/17/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can define Hanyu pinyin, explain its rules and be familiar with its notations / symbols.  2) I can say simple greeting terms in Chinese.  3) I can acquire historical, geographical, and cultural knowledge about China and major cities in China.

Homework: 1) Review 3 learned greetings terms today.  2) Review Introduction to Hanyu Pinyin handout.  3) China reading packet: due tomorrow.  4) Signature slip due tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Any signature slip?  2) Go over Introduction to Hanyu Pinyin handout.
  2. 1) Teach 3 basic greeting terms (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi).  2) Pair activity: Complete your reading packet.
