Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (10/19/12)

目标: I can showcase my mastery of weather unit.

功课: 1) Finalize your weather project.  2) Know all Lesson One new characters by next Monday.  3) Prepare your oral exam if you have not done so.  4) Turn in your Lesson Nine character worksheet on/before the end of Monday.

程序:

  1. 1) Questions?  Lesson Nine chapter test.  2) Complete and turn in your Lesson Nine character worksheet, please.  3) Work on red lab next Monday.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (10/19/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of consonants zh, ch, sh, r, c, s, and z.  2) I can discriminate various tones when pronounced to me.  3) I can reproduced syllables beginning with zh, ch, sh, r, c, s, and z.  4) I can review all consonants and vowels through reading Chinese pinyin sentences.  5) I can gain cultural knowledge about the Great Wall of China.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work—reading syllables (2P: Chase, Michael, Hannah, Jose, Louis).  2)  Video clip: The Great Wall of China.
  2. Pass out Compound Vowels (2) and Review Packet 1.
  3. 1) Questions?  2) Quiz #4.
  4. Read 6 syllables to Ms. Chang, please.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (10/19/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms in Chinese.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese characters.  3) I can write simple Chinese picture characters.

Homework: 1) Review 13 learned terms.  2) (5P) Complete character writing assignment.

Procedure:

  1. 1)   Makeup work (5P: Cole, Miranda).  2) (3P) Collect reading packet.  3) Quick review (9 terms).
  2. 1)   Teach new terms (Zai Jian, Xie Xie, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi).  2) DVD: Chinese characters.  .
  3. (5P) Teach Chinese characters (sun).
