Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (10/23/12)

目标: 1) I can name all academic subject and talk about my class schedule.  2) I can apply what I have learned to create a skit with a partner.

功课: 1) Complete character writing assignment.  2) Class schedule due tomorrow.  3) Randomly drawing for your weather project presentation tomorrow.  4) Skit due: Friday, 10/26/12.

程序:

  1. 1) Oral exam makeup (哈瑞宁, 金泰德, 柏莉雅, 李文敦, 史玖丹, 乐芝蕾).  Complete it by the end of this Friday.  No show, no credit.  2) Return Lesson Nine character worksheet.  Makeup work (哈瑞宁, 甘士凯, 葛丽真, 乐迪恩, 米嘉琳, 史玖丹, 史科礼, 乐芝蕾).  3) Turn in your weather project rubric, please.  Any flash drive?  4) Return your Lesson Nine chapter test for review.  Collect.
  2. Teach new characters with terms (理, 物理, 地理, 乐理, 体, 育, 历, 史, 课).
  3. 1) Pass out / go over Lesson One supplementary handout and class schedule worksheet.  2) Pass out / go over Skit Choices and Checklist.

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (10/23/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can discriminate various compound vowels.  2) I can read pinyin sentences and text passages fluently and accurately.  3) I can reinforce my Chinese characters through watching video animation.

Homework: 1) Practice reading compound vowels One syllables, pinyin sentences and text passages.  2) Review learned syllables.

Procedure:

1.  1) Class activity: Read compound vowels 1.  2) Teach compound vowels (iao, uai).

2.  1) Read text passages on pages 8-9.  2) Go over Pinyin Review Sound 1 packet.

3.   DVD: Chinese characters animation (看, 心).

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (10/23/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can write simple Chinese characters.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese writing and pronunciation, and Chinese calligraphy.

Homework: 1) Complete Chinese character writing assignment. 2) Review learned terms.

Procedure:

1.   1) Makeup work (5P: Cole, Miranda).  2) Teach new terms (Qi Li, Jing Li, Zuo Xia, Qing Zuo).

2.   1) Teach Chinese characters (ren, kou).  2) (5P) Cultural reading:  China pages 3-4 + Showcase Chinese publications.

3.   1) (5P) DVD: Chinese calligraphy.  2) (3P) Chopsticks practice.
