Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (10/26/12)

目标: I can present my weather project with accurate and fluent Chinese.

功课: 1) Prepare to present your skit on Monday, Tuesday, and/or Wednesday.  2) WB pages 3 & 5.  3) Lesson One chapter test: Friday, 11/9/12.  Oral exam: Wednesday, 11/7, and Thursday, 11/8.


  1. 1) Turn in your skit hard copy with checklist (1 set per pair).  No editing, no sun glasses used in your movie clip.  2) All makeup work completes after school today.  (莫薇芝, 柏莉雅, 李文敦, 李白丝, 谷特妮, 米嘉琳, 卡蕾秋, 麥珠莉, 乐迪恩, 倪德範, 史科礼, 乐芝蕾, 金泰德, 哈瑞宁, 史玖丹) talk to Ms. Chang, please.

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (10/26/12)


Objectives: 1) I can discriminate various compound vowels.  2) I can sight read text passages, pinyin sentences and syllables accurately and fluently.  3) I can read and write greeting terms in Chinese.  4) I can showcase my mastery of compound vowels.

Homework: 1) Complete Lesson Two character writing assignment.  Due next Monday (10/29/12).  2) Workbook pages 10 + 12.


  1. 1) Teach Compound Vowels (y, w).  2) Teach Review Sounds 1 sentences #9-#10.
  2. Teach new characters (明, 天, 明天, 早).  2) Read text passages on pages 8-9.
  3. 1) Questions?  2) Quiz #5.




Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (10/26/12)


Objectives: 1) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese painting, Chinese New Year painging, and Chinese schools.  2) I can say Chinese greeting terms.  3) I can explore Chinese folk art of cutting paper patterns and origami.

Homework: Study for your quiz #1 on next Monday.


  1. 1) Quick review (greeting terms).  2) Culture reading: Chinese Schools.
  2. 1) Complete 2 Chinese paper patterns.  Collect for grade.  2) DVD: Chinese painting + Chinese New Year painting.
  3. Origami time: Pass out / prepare colored papers.
