Procedures for 10/4/12

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (10/4/12)

目标: 1) I can use interactive game to review for my Ni Hao Two review test.  2) I can ask and answer simple Chinese conversation questions.  3) I can collect weather information on a particular city through internet research.

功课: 1) Practice your conversation questions for oral test.  Make sure you complete before the end of Friday.  2) Study for your Ni Hao Two test.  3) Collect information for your weather project.  4) E-mail Ms. Chang your pen pal letter before the end of today.

程序:

  1. 1) Makeup work—2 copies of pen pal letter (卡蕾秋, 甘博力, 越野, 柯智豪, 史科礼, 史安敦, 史尊凯, 乐芝蕾).  2) Go to I drive, click Ms. Chang’s folder, click 3rd edition folder, and click Ni Hao 2 game to play/review for your test.
  2. Pick out a city of your choice, research / collect its weather condition information (temperature, the duration of 4 seasons, overall population, etc), apply your information, design your PPT, Publisher project (brochure) or Glogster multi-media poster to present your city.  Complete rubric and requirements will pass out next week.

1)   If you choose to make a PPT, be prepared to have about 15 slides.

2)   If you choose to use Publisher to make a brochure, it is about 8 ½ by 11 with at least 10 pictures and 20 sentences to replace the requirement of 15 slides.

3)   If you choose to use Glogster project, you need to have at least 8 pictures, one audio file, one video file, and one link will replace the requirement of 15 slides.  Anyone who tries Glogster will earn 5 bonus points.

All three choices need to present at least 4 temperatures, 12 weather conditions / terminologies, 2 seasons, 4 names of month, etc.  Details and sample student work will follow.

3.   Wait for your turn to have oral test.

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (10/4/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can read text passages, math equations and syllables fluently.  2) I can discriminate consonants g, k, h, j, q, and x accurately.

Homework: 1) Study for your quiz tomorrow.  2) WB pages 19-20.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Captains checks WB pages 15-16 & 18.  Go over answer key.  2) Dictation (g, k, h, j, q, x).  3) Reading / writing practice.  4) Pass out free downable e-Book from Ni Hao publisher.
  2. Take oral quiz ó Class activity: 1) read flash cards.  2) Read syllables.  3) Read Lesson Three text passages.  4) Do homework.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (10/4/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say colors in Chinese.  2) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese gardens.  4) I can explore Chinese tangram pieces game.

Homework: 1) Study for your quiz #4 tomorrow/next Monday.  2) Work on your art project.  Due next Monday, 10/8/12.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se, lan se, lv se, zi se, zong se, cheng se).  2) Teach (hui se, fen hong se).  2) Turn in your makeup work (3P: Clayton; 5P: Michelle, Chloe V.). 3) Return draft #2.  4) Read sentences #1-#10.  5) Presentation (5P: Zach: Prezi).
  2. 1) (5P) DVD: Chinese gardens.  2) Tangram pieces game.
