Procedures for 11/5/12

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (11/5/12)

目标: 1) I can talk about how well I do on a test.  2) I can sight read text passages fluently and accurately.

功课: 1) Round robin reading (text pages 3-5)—formative assessment—on Friday.  2) Complete character writing assignment.  3) 作业本第七页。

程序:

  1. 1) Beginning Monday, we enter the “no shorts” Fall/Winter dress code season. Please review the dress code on pg. 34 of the Parent-Student Handbook.  2) Lesson One chapter test moves to Wednesday, 11/14.  Oral exam moves to Monday and Tuesday, 11/12 and 11/13.  Work at the Red Lab this Wednesday (11/7) and Thursday (11/8) on skit #2.  3) Retake is limited to two times per quarter.  4) Draw a stick for your new seat.  Move.
  2. 1) Ms. Chang checks WB pages 9 (#1-#5) and 11 (#1 – #5).  Go over answer key.
  3. 1) Quick reading.  2) Round robin read text pages 1-2 (formative assessment).  2) Teach terms (为什么, 知道, 差, 得, 分, 夜, 开, 开车, 开夜车, 非常好, 很好, 不错, 还可以, 不好, 很差).

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (11/5/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can discriminate various compound vowels and back nasal sounds.  2) I can know details and expectations of an upcoming field trip.

Homework: 1) Round robin reading (Lesson Two Chapter test) text passages –summative assessment tomorrow.  2) Quiz #7 (front and back nasal sounds + 6 syllables) Monday, 11/12.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Draw a number for your new seat assignment.  Move.  2) Pass out / go over Field trip permission slip.  Due this Friday.  3) Pass out / go over Lesson Two chapter test study guide.
  2. 1) Pass out and teach back nasal sounds (ang, eng).  2) Quiz #6.  3) Class activity: read 6 syllables to Ms. Chang, if time allows.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (11/5/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can recognize 20 Chinese characters and know the sounds of these number and pictures Chinese characters.  2) I can count from zero to one hundred.  3) I can understand Chinese counting principle.

Homework: 1) Study number table.  2) Practice counting principle.  3) Quiz: #3: Monday, 11/12/12.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (20 characters).  2) (5P) Audio file: 1-7.  3) Collect number character writing assignment.
  2. 1) Pass out / go over number table.  2) Teach Chinese counting principle.  3) Count from zero to one hundred.
  3. Quiz #2.
