Procedures for 11/6/12

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (11/6/12)

 

目标: 1) I can ask and answer conversation questions about class schedule and how I do on a test.  2) I can comprehend dialogues in audio files. 

功课: 作业本第八页和第九页第六到第九题。

程序:

  1. 1) Work at the Red Lab tomorrow and Thursday.  There is to be NO time, outside of lunch, when “game” apps are accessed with students’ iPod or Smart phone.   2) Interested in going to downtown Chinatown and public library on 11/17?  Talk to Ms. Chang for details.  3) Work at the Red Lab tomorrow and Thursday.  4) Ms. Chang checks作业本第七页。Go over answer key.  5) Pass out / go over skit choices #2.  Get into pairs with 不一样的partner tomorrow. 
  2. 1) Teach terms (哇, 准, 备, 还没, 好好儿).  2) Listening activity: 作业本第十二页。
  3. 1) Pass out / go over oral exam sample questions.  2) Pair activity: conversation practice. 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (11/6/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can prepare myself for chapter test tomorrow.  2) I can sight read pinyin sentences and text passages fluently and accurately.  3) I can discriminate back nasal sounds.   

Homework: 1) Study for chapter test.  2) Review learned syllables + pinyin sentences.    

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup test (7P: Andrew, Sean).  2) (7P) Listening activity: WB page 9.  3) Teach back nasal sounds (ing, ong).  4) Teach Review Sounds 1 sentences #15-#18. 
  2. 1) Round robin reading text passages pages 7-9.  2) Culture reading: text pages 14-15.  3) Writing practice.  4) Read 6 syllables to Ms. Chang. 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (11/6/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese lucky and unlucky numbers, and Chinese zodiac animals.  2) I can count from zero to one hundred.  3) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.  4) I can explore Chinese version of rock-scissors-paper game. 

Homework: Review number table and be able to count from zero to one hundred. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work + makeup test (3P: Luke + Steve; 5P: Miranda, Frank).  2) Counting from zero to one hundred.  3) (5P) Return character writing assignment + quiz #2 paper.    
  2. 1) Culture reading: lucky and unlucky numbers + Finger guessing game.  2) DVD: Chinese birthday celebration custom + Chinese zodiac animals. 
  3. 1) Finger guessing game.  2) Showcase art project samples.
