Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (11/15/12)

目标: I can showcase my Chinese proficiency through presenting a skit.

功课: 1) Prepare to present your skit tomorrow, if you have not done so.


  1. 1) Captains check Lesson Two character definitions.  2) Turn in makeup work—Lesson One characters worksheet.
  2. 1) Skit presentation.  2) Return Lesson One test/characters worksheet/data analysis/Review answer key to all questions.  Feedback time??




Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (11/15/12)


Objectives: 1) I can sight read text passages and pinyin sentences fluently and accurately.  2) I can identify people, state age and welcome people.

Homework: 1) Prepare to present your skit on next Monday.  2) Practice reading text passages on pages 24-25 and pinyin sentences.


  1. 1) Turn in your skit with checklist.  2) Pass out / go over Review Sounds 2 handout: sentences #1-#3.
  2. 1) Quick review (谁, 啊, 欢, 迎, 岁, 今, 年, 几, 两, 生).  2) (2P) Teach characters with terms (谢 / 謝, 谢谢 / 謝謝, 请 / 請, 进 / 進, 请进 / 請進, 快, 乐 / 樂, 快乐 / 快樂).
  3. Read 3 pinyin sentences to Ms. Chang ó 1) WB pages 23 (Section B)-26.  2) Practice reading text passages from pages 24-25 and pinyin sentences.   3) Practice conversation questions.



Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (11/15/12)


Objectives: 1) I can name colors in Chinese.  2) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  3) I can acquire culture knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals, Chinese tea, and Chinese food.

Homework: Review learned color terms.


  1. 1) Return draft #2.  2) Makeup work (3P: Zeke).  3) Quick review (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se, lan se, lv se, zong se, zi se, cheng se, hui se, fen hong se).  4) (5P) Teach new terms (cheng se, fen hong se, hui se).
  2. 1) Read sentences #1-#10.
  3. Culture reading: Chinese zodiac animals, Chinese tea and Chinese food.
