Procedures for 11/29/12

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (11/29/12)

目标: 1) I can talk about my school life experience.  2) I can polish my listening skill through listening to audio files.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about daily routine in Chinese schools.

功课: 1) Lesson Two chapter test oral exam: Thursday and Friday: 12/6/12 and 12/7/12, written test: Monday, 12/10/12.  2) WB page 14.

程序:

1.   1) Collect food items & $1 donation.  2) Ms. Chang will attend a workshop at the U. of Akron from 9-5 on 12/1 and 9-12 on 12/2.  Please be patient in waiting for my response to your request.  3) Makeup work (希珍薇, 倪德範).  Return exit slip paper.  4) Interim report cards due next Wednesday.  Complete all makeup work by the end of tomorrow.  5) Captains check WB page 15.  Go over answer key.

2.   1) Culture reading: A Day at School w/exit slip.  2) Audio clips & comprehension questions.

3.   Conversation translation questions Q/A ó Work on your pen pal letter.

 

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (11/29/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can sight read text passages and pinyin sentences.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese birthday celebration customs.  3) I can prepare for my Lesson Four chapter test.

Homework: 1) Prepare your chapter test tomorrow.  2) Your Lesson Four characters worksheet due tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (2P: Jose, Steelley, Bridget, Alex M., Suzu, Stephen; 7P: Michael, Owen, Erin, Sam, Alexa).  Return oral / skit / survey papers.  2) Read pinyin sentences #1-#15.  3) Teach Review Sounds 2 sentences #16-#18.  4) Quick review text passages pages 23-25.  5) Round robin reading text passages.
  2. 1) Culture reading: text pages 28-31 with pictures of birthday peaches and birthday noodle.  2) Writing practice.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (11/29/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival celebration.  3) I can play Simon Says and Pin the Tail on the Donkey game in Chinese.  4) I can understand the urgency of learning Chinese in America now.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

  1. 1) (5P) Oral presentation.  2) DVD: Chinese New Year / Chinese Lantern Festival / (3P) Mid-Autumn Festival.  3) (3P) Culture reading: Chinese traditional festivals.
  2. 1) (3P) DVD: Chinese program in American Schools / Why Chinese now?  2) Show Chinese I class roster, (3P) Chinese class and Chinese Club activities.
