Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (11/14/12)

目标: I can showcase my mastery of Lesson One materials.

功课: 1) Lesson Two character definitions.  2) Prepare to present your skit tomorrow.  3) Review learned characters.

程序:

  1. 1) Turn in your Lesson One character worksheet.  Pass out Lesson Two character worksheet.  2) Makeup work (史安敦, 哈瑞寧, 倪德範, 甘士凯, 甘博力, 史科礼, 史尊凯).  Talk to Ms. Chang, please.  3) Makeup oral exam (甘博力, 谷特妮, 金泰德, 郑阳冬, 李文敦, 莫薇芝, 史科礼).  Make an appointment with Ms. Chang and get it done before the end of Friday, please.

Objectives: 1) I can greet people, introduce myself or other people.  2) I can apply what I have learned to create a skit with a partner.  3) I can sharpen my listening skill and acquire culture knowledge about Chinese home, family, food and restaurants through watching video clips.

Homework: 1) Prepare to present your skit on next Monday.  2) Practice reading text passages on page 23.  3) Skit due tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Permission slip (郑伊锦).  The following students (施博凯, 欧良科, 布康能, 黄可兒, 答絲莉, 罗思德) talk to Ms. Chang, please.  Make up work—Lesson Four character definitions (答絲莉, 施博凯, 欧良科, 如杰生, 莫珂伊).  2) High school students (莫力德, 罗思德, 佐藤铃) take your oral exam and show Ms. Chang Lesson Four definitions, please.  3) Work with your partner to draft your skit and type your script.

Homework: 1) Write Chinese characters.  Know their meanings and sounds by Thursday.  2) Practice your oral exam.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (2P: Keaton, Suzu).  2) Pass out field trip information.  3) Turn in your re-take application form at the end of the class.  4) Work in media center tomorrow and the day after.

程序:

1.   1) Starting from next Monday, please bring in non-perishable food items for Yuletide Hunger program.  Donate $1 for raffle ticket.  2) Turn in your skit hard copy w/checklist.  3) Work and have oral exam in the Red Lab on next Monday and Tuesday, 11/12 and 11/13.  4) Makeup work (Stefan—text pages 1-2; your WB pages).  5) Will e-mail you answer key to WB pages 9-13 when you show me all your completed assignments.    

2.   1) Pass out / go over the study guide for Lesson One chapter test.  2) Round robin reading: text pages 3-5.

Homework: 1) Practice conversation questions for Lesson Two oral exam on Tuesday and Wednesday, 11/13 and 11/14.  2) Practice sounding out pinyin sentences in Review Sounds 1 handout: Friday, 11/16/12.       

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (2P: Keaton, Amari, Suzu, Maisy—2 readings; 7P: Sean, Jackson, Andrew).  2) Any field trip slip?  3) All re-take will take place during E/I on Friday, 11/16/12.

Please review the dress code on pg. 34 of the Parent-Student Handbook.  2) Lesson One chapter test moves to Wednesday, 11/14.  Oral exam moves to Monday and Tuesday, 11/12 and 11/13.  Work at the Red Lab this Wednesday (11/7) and Thursday (11/8) on skit #2.  3) Retake is limited to two times per quarter.  4) Draw a stick for your new seat.  Move.
