Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (11/16/12)

目标: 1) I can talk about various experiences with the specification of time duration. 2) I can rearrange unscrambled into logical sequences.  3) I can review Chinese through viewing video clips.

功课: 1) Write Chinese characters.  2) Unscrambled sentences worksheet.  Due next Monday.

程序:

1.   1) Ask for re-take form at the end of the class.  2) Teach (习 / 習, 学习 / 學習 = 学 / 學, 久, 多少, 不到, 流, 利, 老虎, 马马虎虎 / 馬馬虎虎 = 还可以 = 还好).  3) Conversation Q/A (多了, 不到, 大概 = 左右).

2.   1) Video clips.  2) Group activity (阳冬, 苏丽雯, 麥珠莉, 李白丝, 林凯丽, 李文敦, 越野): WB page 10 w/sentence slips (for Lesson Two chapter test) + unscrambled sentences worksheet.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (11/16/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer conversation questions to greet people, introduce myself or other people, and ask and state ages.  2) I can sight read pinyin sentences and text passages.

Homework: 1) Skit presentation starts on Monday, 11/19/12.  2) WB pages 23 (section B)-26.  3) Complete writing Chinese characters.  4) Practice reading pinyin sentences and text passages.

Procedure:

  1. 1) For the students who will participate in the field trip, see you tomorrow!  2) Review / Teach Review Sounds 2 handout: sentences #1-#6.  3) Read text passages from pages 24-25.  4) Pass out / go over conversation questions handout.  5) (7P) Teach new characters and terms (谢 / 謝, 谢谢 / 謝謝, 请 / 請, 进 / 進, 请进 / 請進, 快, 乐 / 樂, 快乐 / 快樂).
  2. Read pinyin sentences to Ms. Chang ó 1) Practice reading pinyin sentences #1-#6 and text passages from pages 23-25.  2) Practice conversation questions.  3) Complete your WB pages.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (11/16/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name colors in Chinese.  2) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  3) (3P) I can explore tangram pieces.  4) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese yo-yo, Chinese kong-fu, terra cotta warriors, Chinese family size and how Chinese address their family members.

Homework: Review learned color terms.  Quiz #4: Monday, 11/19/12.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se, lan se, lv se, zong se, zi se, cheng se, hui se, fen hong se).  2) Practice reading sentences #1-#10.
  2. 1) DVD: Terra Cotta Warriors, Chinese kong-fu, and Chinese yo-yo.  2) Culture reading: Family size and addressing family members.
  3. (3P) Pass out / explore tangram pieces game.
