Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (12/7/12)

目标: 1) I can apply what I have learned to create a story book with a partner.  2) I can review Lesson Four chapter test through playing an interactive computer game.  3) I can ask and answer simple questions about school life.

功课: 1) Study for your Lesson Two chapter test.  2) Lesson Two character worksheet due: Monday, 12/10/12.


  1. 1) Inform Ms. Chang of your storybook partner.  2) Students are randomly drawn in pairs for Lesson Two oral exam.
  2. Go to I drive, click Ms. Chang’s folder, click Ni Hao 3rd interactive game icon, log in with any name and click Ni Hao 3 and Lesson Two to active interactive game.
  3. Pair activity: Type your story book script / dialogue.  Turn in your storybook script / dialogue with checklist, revised 2nd pen pal letter and e-mail Ms. Chang your 1st pen pal letter by the end of the class period today.

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (12/7/12)


Objectives: 1) I can name school supplies.  2) I can sight read pinyin sentences. 3) I can state ownership, ask/answer simple conversation questions, and express negative situation.  Homework: 1) Write Chinese characters.  2) Practice conversation questions.  3) Know all learned characters’ sounds and meanings by next Monday.


1.   1) Teach new characters (书, 书包, 包子, 不, 知道).  2) Teach negative sentence pattern with不.

2.Read 3 sentences to Ms. Chang ó Pair activity: conversation questions.



Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (12/7/12)


Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese characters through reading and viewing video clips.  3) I can write simple Chinese picture characters.

Homework: 1) Review 13 learned terms.  2) Complete character writing assignment.


  1. 1) Quick review (7 terms).  2) Teach new terms (Zao, Ni Zao, Zao An, Zao Shang Hao).
  2. 1) Culture reading: China (p. 2).  2)  DVD: Chinese characters (sun, man, moon).
  3. 1) Pass out / go over square paper and chart for Chinese picture characters.  2) Teach Chinese characters (sun, moon, person/people).
