Procedures for 12/17/12

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (12/17/12)

目标: 1) I can talk about various modes of transportation.  2) I can express distance between two places and time needed for a trip.  3) I can compare and contrast American and Chinese cultures through viewing video segments.

功课: 1) Write Chinese characters.  2) WB pages 25-26.  3) Storybook due on 1/4/13.

程序:

  1. 1) Makeup work (倪德範, 李文敦, 越野, 金泰德, 哈瑞宁—storybook).  2) Pen Pal letter presentation (葛沛思, 倪德範).
  2. 1) Quick review (走路, 马路, 路人, 自行车, 火车, 汽车, 坐, 天天).  2) Teach new characters (钟/鐘 = 时钟/時鐘, 离 = 到, 远/遠, 近, 里, 英里, 公里).  3) Go over sentence patterns on text pages 34-35.
  3. 1) Go over comprehension Questions One handout.  2) Movie time.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (12/17/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my chapter test.  2) I can sight read text passages.  3) I can talk about my family.

Homework: 1) Study for your chapter test tomorrow.  2) Turn in your Lesson Five character worksheet tomorrow

Procedure:

1.   1) Quick review (Lesson Five text passages).  2) Round robin reading: Lesson Five text passages.  3) Makeup work (Sammy + Suzu).

2.   1) Practice reading section questions.  2) Pass out Lesson Six character worksheet.  Complete character definitions in class.  3) Video clips about Chinese characters (dog, heart, clothes).

3.   Teach new characters (家, 爸, 妈/媽, 哥, 弟)

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (12/17/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of basic Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can say and write numbers in Chinese.  3) I can explore Chinese folk art of cutting paper patterns.

Homework: 1) Review 4 learned terms.  2) Complete character writing assignment.  3) Quiz #2 (12 number characters + 8 picture characters): Friday, 1/4/13.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (3P: Aaron—8 characters).  2) Quick review.  3) Quiz #1.
  2. 1) Pass out new square paper.  2) Teach / Write numbers (yi, er, san, si).
  3. 1) Complete 2 Chinese paper-cut patterns.  Collect as participation grade.
